Chapter One
It was chasing him. He didn't know who or what, but something was out there, chasing after him. Whatever It was, he knew It was bad, and that he did not want It to catch up with him. If It catches up, he knows he'll suffer a fate worse than death itself.
And so he ran. He ran as fast as he could so that It didn't catch up with him. He felt the wind rush past his face, sweat roll downhis forehead, as he ran away from It with every ounce of energy he could muster.
He was running down a hallway. A dark, gloomy hallway, the only lighting being from the candles, the light from the candles showing a wooden floor and wallpaper rather old. He suspected that the hallway was old, and he knew it was long, for there was no end in sight and he's been running for hours. He was running away from It down a dark and gloomy hallway.
Suddenly, he found the end of the hallway. There was a door there. He knew that he had to open the door before It caught up, but he couldn't move his hands to open the door. He was paralyzed in fear... Paralyzed in fear of It catching up and killing him.
He knew that It was catching up. He knew exactly how many seconds he had to open the door, but he was too stricken with fear to open the door. He knew that It was right behind him. He knew that It was going to...
Thunder struck, and Tim woke up with a shock. Loud, ringing thunder. Normally he'd be at least slightly annoyed that he was woken up, abruptly, but with a nightmare like that, it didn't matter. All that concerned him was that it would be hard to fall back asleep with this thunderstorm.
A drop of water fell on Tim's forehead. He was drenched, mostly in sweat, but something was off. Maybe his ceiling was leaking? If that's the case, he should probably move his head slightly so that he dedoesn't get any more soaked than he already is.
Tim rolled over, from his back to his side. Where he expected to feel the soft roll of his pillow, he instead felt something cold, wet and grainy. The half of his face that should be on the pillow felt like it was covered in dirt. No, it didn't feel like it was covered in dirt, Tim realized when he ran his hand over his face, it was covered in dirt.
Tim got up as fast as he could, opening his eyes to see what was going on. He was out in a field, with rain pouring down upon him heavily. He was dressed entirely in a suit, with a bright green tie. Funny enough, that's what he dressed his avatar like on the computer game ROBLOX. For that matter, his name wasn't even Tim, that was just his online alias. He couldn't remember his name.
"What the hell is going on!" Tim shouted as loud as he could, trying to be heard by himself over the thunder and rain.
The rain abruptly stopped pouring so hard, and within a few minutes, the clouds disipated. Early morning, Tim figured by looking up at the sky, a rather clear night with a bright, full moon. Strangely enough, there was no source of light at all aside from the stars and moon above.
"Where the hell am I?" Tim asked aloud, trying to think through what happened last night. The last thing he remembered was watching an episode of Battlestar Galactica before going off to bed for the night. He was in his house, in the middle of a city, wearing pajamas - Not in a field in the middle of nowhere wearing the same suit as his virtual character wears! And surely he remembed his name last night!
He must have been walking, for he inadvertantly almost stepped on someone on the ground as he was looking up at the sky. The woman was slightly darker than he, with a pink dress barely covering up to her knees. She strangely enough had bright pink hair and was wearing something that Tim suspected to be a crown, but he couldn't easily tell, due to how dark it was. The person seemed familiar to Tim, but he knew not how.
Then, slightly curious, he looked around. All around he saw people, all strangely familiar in appearance, though he knew not from where. Some weren't even people - At least one of them had a large, egg-shaped skull and no hair, and another had a head resembling a dragon or a dinosaur. Regardless, all of these people looked familiar.
He lightly shook the woman whose throat he almost crushed with his boot. She groaned, clearly groggy from being asleep so long, with her eyes still closed.
"I don't want to go to school..." she muttered, barely audible.
"At the moment," Tim replied, "I just want to find out where the hell we are and who the hell you are."
"I'm... Oh god, I can't remember my name... When I try to recall it, all that comes to my mind is the word 'Pick', which I know is my username on a computer game, and not in real life..." the woman said, still with her eyes closed, probably thinking that this is just a strange dream.
Suddenly, Tim realized where he recognized all these people from. |

Thanks for all of the positive feedback, everyone. I haven't written a story in years, I typically stick with RPs and ISRPs, glad to know I haven't lost my ability to write stories compellingly.
Also glad to know that I'm able to drag out "I had a nightmare and woke up" over eight paragraphs. Yay me. |

| Duck, everyone that I know enough about to attempt to write convincingly will have an important role, but I'm afraid that, due to this being a high-casualty story that I intend to write, I will have to have lots of people as fodder for crazy, sadistic traps. |

| If you want updates on the story, I advise clicking the track thread button up top or bookmarking the page, if you haven't done so already. That way you won't miss any updates. Also, in case I get flooded with comments or you have to take a break for a week or something, I recommend recording what page of replies you're up to so that you can read on from there rather than spending an hour hunting for where you were. |

Three hours have passed. Tim allowed Pick to fall back asleep rather than pressing on with questions; He reasoned that nobody would know any more than he if they're who they appear to be.
During the three hours, the storm came back, but not as strong as before. Occsaionally a well-placed raindrop would wake someone up, but most people woke up of their own accord. Lots of people from the forums were there, from those Tim knew well - Craxian, SwedishLemon, PurringThunder, Perry and Duck, to name a few - to those that generally socialize with people that's not Tim or that Tim just met - Marc, Caicee, Roquinha, to name a few of these ones.
It didn't take long for most people to realize what the hell's going on, especially when more people were awake and the sun has fully risen. The few people that panicked took slightly longer to figure out what was going on, but when they realized that everyone was as clueless as they were, they were more reasonable and listened to what people found out - Which, admittedly, was not all that much.
Not everyone from the forums were there in the field, Tim realized, but at least people know of a connection between those here, if not why only some and not others. The exact names of those not there, however, slipped Tim's mind. It's like trying to name every animal you can think of. You can list a lot, but not all of them, and then a week later when you drive down the road and see a sign warning of dangerous grizzly bears you realize that you forgot to include bears on your list.
But regardless, the three hours came and went, and by the end of the three hours everyone was awake, engaging in smalltalk and quickly finding themselves with their close circle of friends within the forums.
"Over there," Tim said to Craxian.
"Ah yes, I see the forest now. Where do you think these plains we're in are, anyway?" Asked Craxian in reply. "Probably somewhere close to a forest."
"You really think so?" Asked Tim jokingly.
"But really, where are we? And why this forum in particular? Soardlo has his RPN thingy and without a doubt there are hundreds of other roleplaying forums on the internet, why ours in particular?" Asked Craxian.
"You ask too many questions," said a voice from behind, "The Supreme Overlord of all Ducks, King Duck the Fourteenth, will not be happy that you're on to the master plan."
Duck, Crax and Tim all shared a laugh at that, especially when Tim added in "I just realized it - This is a magic pond full of Ducks, and they're experimenting on our brains! Quick, Crax, let us kill Duck before he tells his allies!" to continue the joke. However, after that, the laughter ended quickly.
"The real question," Tim started, after thinking for a minute, "Is not where we are or why we're here - It's what we do next. It doesn't matter why we're here or who put us here if we don't know what to do next. I, for one, am hungry, and don't particularly want to die of starvation."
"Although knowing what's nearby can't help," Crax interjected. "We've already found a forest all the way over there in the distance, about fifteen miles that way, for firewood if we stay here until winter, and a river a short while that way for freshwater."
"But there's no animals. No insects, no birds, rabbits, squirrels - Nothing," Tim added in, "So while it's good that we don't die of dehydration in three days or die of frostbite in two hundred, I'd also enjoy not dying of hunger in thirty."
As Tim and all the others socialized and talked about the place they were in, time went by. They talked about everything, from how bulky it is to have a round head the size of your torso to more serious matters such as what they plan on doing for food and water.
And while they talked, It watched, and It waited. |

Indeed, LNG, we do have a story.
And what makes you think It is an evil presence? |

Context.
You said this was based off of Deathrun 2, so I infer that It is probably the controller. |

YES!
Forever still and unbending and unbreaking, You are the figurehead, your life awaits. Forever caught in the wind and the sleet and the rain, You'll stay the course, 'Till the break of day. |

| I bet one of the characters will get a blade that is somehow so sharp that it can cut through almost anything, and never get dull or one of the characters will know that something is watching them. |
