In this thread I will be (hopefully) resolving an issue that many have had with each-other. How the heck does my opponent role-play? Hopefully fellow role-players will take the time to learn these types of role-play, which will help each-other learn how to role-play with their fellows.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spam -

This style of role-play has no real place on ROBLOX as it is very confusing with the styles of chat we are used to. Other games such has Habbo use this due to the bubble style chat that can be seen from a bird eye view. In this role-playing style, opponents tend to stick with 5-7 words per line.

Desc (description) -

This role-playing style is similar to spam in the fast-paced (not turn based) combat. Though the style tends to be about 7-11 words per line.

Emote -

Emote role-play is the style of role-play that tends to be in Ciphrus boss battles. Emote tends to be 5-12 words per line and is turn based. Emote tends to be the only style that APTK (auto permission to kill) should/could be enabled, though there are different types of styles of emote role-play.

Emote 1 - This style consists of the role-players that use big lines and descriptive language. These people tend to not have APTK, though it is best if you take damage willingly.

Emote 2 - This style consists of spam like lines and usually has PTK auto enabled, making many fights shorter, though exceptions can be made with your opponent.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is just a suggestion for the amount of words and amount of lines you should use for certain actions, though some may disagree, there is still reason to these suggestions I will give you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kill - You should use about 7-9 words per line and about 5 lines. (with aptk)

Detached limbs - For taking limbs off, you should stick with as many words (within reason) but with about 3-4 lines depending on who you're role-playing with.

Anything else? - For anything else, you may decide with your opponent.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for reading my post about role-play styles in ROBLOX and other games, hope this helps.

For those forum role-players, this has no relevance for you but may be a good refresher to those that role-play IG. (in game)

Nobody here roleplays in-game. The role-playing forum is exclusively for forum RPers.

Swedish, I don't believe reading that the roleplaying forum is ONLY for forum roleplayers. In game roleplayers are just as good of roleplayers as forum roleplayers. So I hope that wasn't meant as an insult.

Yes Birm. 'Can'. He said they ARE. That implies he believes all game-RPers are just as good at RPing as all forum RPers.

Not all of us are good. None of us are, compared to professional writers. Tim is probably the club west to them.

Most veterans are equal to professional writers, actually. We just don't have the motivation and self-confidence to make a book.

I wouldn't say professional, but RP does put out some good stuff. Look at Death of Ramses and Cinders of a Dying Dream.

I literally don't believe the amount of ego in these replies just because one's opinion and yet again "posting in the wrong forum". It must be tough on you two to go by on every forum and be a jerk to everybody who 'posts wrong', yes?

~Side note, Forum RPers and In-Game RPers are equal. Why I say this? The amount of egotism is the same, the amount of whiners is the same, the amount of god-modding asshats are the same, I don't need to go on about that. But oh, feel free to deny this and continue to bash us In-Game RPers like nothing to make yourself feel better. I know you're going to do it.

Actually, in many of our current RPs our characters can die and sometimes do. Especially in ISRPs.

As for egotism, no. The forum RP is way way way more egotistical. We sacrifice humility for better writing skills and creativity, however.

And as for godmodding, step away from The Complex for a second and look at some of our forum RPs.

No one's posted on it. Don't derail the thread.

There are other role-play games besides 'the Complex.' You forum role-players really need to see that us in-game role-players are just as good, if not better than some of your posse of forumers. Most in-game role-players that are professional have begun writing novels and books based off some of the games that they have role-played at. Stop bashing us about having a preference of where to role-play. All men are created equal.

In-game roleplayers and forum roleplays are equal, but on forum roleplaying it's rare to find godmodders, fail roleplayers and online daters. That's the only difference.

What? That doesn't even...

Now I feel like you're making this up. I still DO game-RP from time to time and never once have I seen 'professional in-game role-players' that have 'begun writing novels and books', and basing it off of a game you played is literally fanfiction.

Maybe you're just visiting the wrong games, Swedish. Try coming to Arcadium, Octavia, Icarus, The Battle of Bulge, Dawn of Hemera and other roleplay games like that on Roblox. I guarantee your opinion will be wavered.

I've never heard of any of those, which simply enforces my belief that the majority of game RPers are idiots and there's a small underground minority which are smart and dedicated.
