The number of leaders and members overall that are super edgy and tryhard. Even I have fallen ill of this trait over my former times as a leader.
Now a days, there are very few clans that are actually willing to admit defeat, and move on, fix the clan, bounce back.
Wars now have come down to massive flame on the forum, backed by stupid arguments, and rarely a pretty end to the war, usually both sides have to find some way to 'end the war', and someone, usually everyone comes out crying over it.
I honestly think the clans that aren't undefeated are far better off than the clans that are undefeated or better said, "undefeated" Clans should challenge themselves more, and be willing to pay the price of loss for it. Literally the only leader I've seen really take major challenges and never back down to a fight is Ciocksmith.
Trust me, it's not just leaders. Members like to bandwagon, and at the first sight of a bump in the road, like a war loss, they jump ship. Members need to learn some loyalty, and actually stick through to the end, no matter what. Unless some major thing like corruption, or overall stupidity is going on inside the clan, there's no reason to leave the clan. Most leaders give up on clans because their entire member base abandons them.
Just a little bit of insight from someone who's been here a while (Not as long as some though, but I know I'm not alone in my thinking).

not really, it's just the small amount of people that are in clans.
if we had say, double the number, we'd be alright.
right now there's too many clans and not enough players

Eh. These problems always existed.
You pointed out general competitiveness between clans and how it manifests itself in unsportsmanlike conduct, ego inflation, and people just generally being jerks.
The real issues killing clans are people like you and me. All us older kids who stick around and don't let the newer generations take over.
Our adolescence has totally stifled progress in the clan world.
That, and slowly but surely all of the original clan community has been spread thin across the board. So now you're seeing very competitive and raging teens that are spread across hundreds of clans.
From 2009 to 2011, these years saw relatively less growth and competition. 2011 was the first year that ROBLOX's second wave of clan members started to get involved and was the first year that previous generation clan members became more mature. So what we saw then was the crescendo of clan activity as we can perceive it. BTMpire vs. Coalition was the last ROBLOX wide clan war.
Activity and clan culture across the board after 2012 has been stagnant. No action.
Why?
Because clans tried hard to become mainstream. People thought that a clan was supposed to be hundreds of members strong and getting 30 people and over to every event.
It just doesn't work that way. It isn't that way. No one clan has the many numbers of members that there used to be in a single clan.
tldr:
Too many clans with members. Too few clans with good members. Lots of clans that spread members thin.
Looks inactive isn't really inactive |

I haven't been in EE for too long, but from what I've observed so far, I don't completely agree with what you're saying here. Scelus doesn't see himself as too important of a figure, and I think he's underrated. People don't see as a great clan, but from the time I've spent in it, it has loads of potential.
Scelus has made a few 'threads' regarding a war with SURGE, which you rebutted. I do agree that he should probably lay off of SURGE until you guys are functional, but instead of attacking each other on threads, a civilized meeting between the HiCOMs would be more useful, don't ya think?
And finally, I haven't seen too many of our High Ranks being too butthurt about flame on Scelus, and half of our HiCOM and member base don't even forum, most of them infact.
Again, I've only been in the clan for a short time, so I don't know everything.
