Probably had it, but didn't know it existed back then.
Basically, you're awake, but you're brain is still in sleep mode. So you're paralyzed, and I heard you see scary stuff. |

It's terrifying. I've never hallucinated or anything, but my blanket is always over my face when it happens. I can't breath with it there and I panic and panic till it goes away.

| It puts you in a deep sleep, where all your fantasy dreams happen for a very long time. Oh it's nice. |

"then how does it end" feels like forever but you eventually snap out of it also you know you're dreaming, your brain is half asleep but your body won't move |

its absolutely terrible, the worst fear you will ever experience. i have had it only once, and i hope to never have it again. i dont know if it was sleep paralysis or something, but i remember waking up and going to the bathroom, coming back, and seeing myself sleeping

i dont know what its like but i know why it happens
when youre in REM sleep your body produces some natural chemical to keep you from moving (paralyzing you) so for example if youre running in your dream, you dont want to actually run around. sleep paralysis happens when you wake up too suddenly or something and your body still has got that chemical going around so youre paralyzed but awake |

This is weird. Im listening to a video about an experience. I've had it for a minute before and its weird.(for me atleast) I was just online but then i grew tired. And I was like at that last second before you fall alseep.
Its like you're in the middle of dreaming and being awake. And I saw this shadow man just stand by my bed. He didnt really move he just stood there. I tried to move but I couldnt. Its weird the first time if you dont know what it is. And i think the figures get scary if you fear that you cant move and the fear just grows and grows cause of the figure and the paralysis. |

The figure wasn't horrifying since It kinda looked the shape of someone I knew and I didn't really fear that I couldn't move since I knew what this was before it happened. And I'm a lucid dreamer so weird stuff happens every now and then. I know lucid dreaming may cause sleep paralysis time to time and out of body experiences. Mind stuff like that cause it. |

| Lucid dreaming doesn't cause out of body experiences. I meant to say like out of body experiences can cause sleep paralysis. |

When I had sleep paralysis I was on the top of my old bunk bed and the T.V. was on so I was watching it because i randomly woke up, but then i couldn't move my head away from the T.V. and I saw a black shadow crawling on the floor from the corner of my eye, then like my body shot forward and i felt like i was going through a tunnel rlly fast and then i woke up and hid under my blanket for a while.
it was pretty rad tho |
