Candidates of the Little Rock Police Department must meet the following requirements to apply. All candidates are required to send in a basic application to the Little Rock Police Department to take part in the academy. If they have passed the requirements needed to apply for the department, they may send the application in to the Chief of Police.
Candidates may not have any felony criminal record in the state of Arkansas. Candidates must speak basic English, as well as use grammar correctly. Candidates must know basic laws. Candidates must know what the job of a law enforcement officer is.

If you pass the application phase, you will receive a confirmation from the chief, then you will proceed to the academy.
