"It's not B3, its a remake of Battlefront 1."

| A trailer doesn't reveal everything a game will contain... This is only, what? Our SECOND trailer of the game, and people are already complaining. The first one is barely a trailer, and the second is just a reveal for the more popular Original Trilogy. |

"Lets make a new battlefront game, strip down the features and announce dlc before it's even out yet, somehow people will still defend it!"
You are that person defending it op. |

"The previous battlefront games never really had a story. It was basically just open ended areas where you fight bots"
Not having much of a story = Singleplayer not being fun. Yes. Right. Of course.
"Star wars battlefront 2 space battles just felt boring and unnecessary. And the original battlefront didn't have space battles. I thought everyone was asking for battlefront 3 to be like the original? "
Because of course, the thing that a lot of people liked is totally boring and unnecessary because OP says so. And no, pretty sure that Battlefront II was the game that people wanted remade, because, y'know, it literally improved in every possible way on Battlefront 1 already.
"The Dlc is only for episode 7 content. It makes sense to sell it as dlc a month or two after the Force Awakens movie comes out so the game doesn't spoil the movie."
I'll give you that.
"ok I'm disappointed clone wars aren't in the games BUEYT I'm excited for episode 7 battles"
I'll give you this, too.
I also love how OP conveniently forgets to mention the 40 player server size and grand total of five maps.

Star Wars Battlefront II:
33 total maps spanning across 16 planets. Plus 4 more DLC maps. 32 vs. 32 players on all modes. Even higher on XL modes on the PC. Space Battles included. Actually pretty fun online and I've played some insane custom space battle maps. Moddable. Hundreds of custom maps, new classes, new weapons, new vehicles for the price of nothing. Campaign includes. Granted, it was just a short campaign that consisted of cutscenes and lightly scripted AI battles, but it was there. Not too much of a loss, though. Galactic Conquest mode. Rather fun. Included both space and ground battles. Instant Action mode. My favourite feature. All multiplayer maps and modes for offline use. Infantry types: 51 playable infantry types consisting of 6 standard classes for every faction (24 total), plus 8 unique faction specific classes. Plus, 19 playable heroes. Vehicles types: 37 fully-controllable vehicles. Plus, 15 controllable turrets. Playable eras: Classic and prequel.
DICE's Star Wars Battlefront Comparison:
- 10 total maps spanning across 5 planets (including Jakku DLC). Most likely more DLC map packs on the way behind a paywall. - 20 vs. 20 player battles on some modes. Probably less on other modes. - No space battles. ? Unsure if moddable on PC. Will have to wait to see. ? No campaign. Again, not a big loss. Will have something similar called 'missions.' ? Unsure if Galactic Conquest mode will return. If so, no space battles. ? Unsure if Instant Action mode will return. - Infantry types: Customisable loadouts only. Unsure of how many playable heroes will feature. Most likely 10 (including Jakku DLC) if every planet has different playable heroes. ? Vehicle types: Unsure at the moment. AT-ATs will be on rails only, if I recall. - Playable eras: Classic only.
5 negatives and 5 questionable. Not looking good, cap. Doing a terrible job at the moment of persuading me to stop playing Battlefront II and pick up this remake.
