| It's been a minute since Kendrick dropped this album, what are your thoughts on it? |

a minute?
Anyways, good album, nice tracks, I loved King Kunta and Blacker the Berry the most. But, lets be honest, I think he could of done better, but it amazing. Its hard to choose between m.A.A.d City or Pimp a Butterfly. |

a minute means a while. it's slang.
Anyways, I feel like TPAB was leagues ahead of GKMC. GKMC was amazing in its own right, but TPAB is on another level both lyrically and instrumentally. Instead of following a storyline like with GKMC, Kendrick explores some deeper themes in this album and he does it quite beautifully.
The one major thing I love about this project is its cohesiveness. It's cinematic. It wraps itself up nicely. The cumulative endings to every song, which eventually reveal themselves to be smaller parts of a full poem on "Mortal Man", is a really unique and creative thing, and when he finally revealed that in "Mortal Man" I was really blown away.
Finally, my other favorite thing about this album was the interview with Tupac at the end. I's really too brilliant, Kendrick took snippets of an old rare interview of Tupac and edited them in to answer his own questions. And it sounds seamless and natural.
If I had to describe this album in one word, it would be dense. There's so much to digest and analyze in this album, that it definitely requires a few listens to understand it. I have to say this is my most favorite release of 2015 so far, both objectively and personally.
Who knows though, maybe Kanye will pull through with SHMG and release something even better. I'm not expecting much though, given the iffy album he's given us last time (Yeezus) |

Name some? I'm genuinely curious as to why you hate this album so much. It might not be everyone's cup of tea (I know lots of people were expecting it to be chock full of bangers like GKMC), but it's a creative, risky endeavour and it's very beautifully written. Kendrick's bars on this album are nothing short of poetic. |

| I will admit, tpab does not have as many individual good songs as gkmc. It does have those individual songs that pop out. But if you listen to the whole album front to back with the poems at the beginning it is amazing, and the funk and neo soul influence is so fresh and new. As a whole album the themes are great and I love this album |

@Devilish
Yeah, no. The only two albums I would put at or above TPAB are Ready to Die and Illmatic. Doomsday and Madvillainy are more or less just cult classics, and listing the Marshal Mathers LP and Earl Sweatshirt's IDLS;IDGO is just laughable. MMLP and IDLS;IDGO are solid albums, but Earl's new album is still too young and it doesn't really do anything special. And I'm saying this as someone who loved the album and is a huge fan of Earl.
It's probably too early to call TPAB a classic, but I think it's definitely never going to be a forgettable album. |

| Well its just opinion based, in my opinion, im not that big fan of Kendrick's lyrics, nor his flow, King Kunta which alot of people consider the best on the album, i didn't really like it, it was too repetative, but, i must say it wasn't bad, i did have to go check out the lyrics in genius, but its not as great as it could be. |

Lol you still didn't explain why it was bad. Just saying it's garbage and refusing to justify your opinion means your opinion is worthless and adds nothing to the discussion.
