| Three days grace. I don't like their new album that much though. I prefer their older stuff more. |

>"Three Days Grace has better songs."
When it comes to song quality between the two, it is a very tough choice. Before I start digging deeper, I just want to state I like both bands, so no hard feelings. Anyways, Three Days Grace usually sticks with misery as a song topic for a lot of their songs. Songs like "Pain" and "Misery Loves My Company" are their more obvious picks. While these songs are good, I just feel like they over do that subject. That's why a lot of the stereotypical "goth" kids listen to their music. Breaking Benjamin doesn't really focus on misery as much as they focus on other topics. They usually deal with love and loss, greed, resilience and spirituality for a majority of their songs. Though, they tell it from a different perspective each time. Like in "Dairy Of Jane" they tell the story from a perspective of a person who is trying to get a girl to love him. Or in their song "Anthem Of Angels" they tell the story from a persotn who is struggling to accept a person is dead, despite the fact they were with eachother when it happened. Three Days Grace usually tells the story from the perspective of someone recieving the pain. The only noticeable time, at least in my opinion, they changed the perspective was in the song "Let You Down" where the told the story from the person inflicting the pain. This is why I like Breaking Benjamin slightly better than 3DG. |
