@man
Only brings happiness for small periods. Money can't really buy happiness all the way |

"do you believe that all people in the first world have money? my family has money for a house and everything but not even close to enough for me to go to college"
it means you have enough to eat that's basically all that matters at the end of the day |

people arent happy because almost everything today is artificial people today like quick solutions (but are temporary) we get overwhelmed because the solutions to everything is temporary and quick. smartphones are fast, efficient, and enjoyable. but it just doesn't feel the same as real life. television provides instant entertainment, but don't you feel guilty afterward? even food products- they're artificial, not pure.
this is why people in the era of the great depression were 18% less stressed out than people today, according to a study.
if we took away technology as a whole, we would be a happier species overall
ive been holding that back for a while
Excuse me, but that's inappropriate for school. |

| Cool, though the way you put it like that seems like you're trying to prove a point. |

Also who are you talking to here? I didn't see anybody claim that people in 1st world countries are not allowed to be depressed. Even if they did it is not a fallacy of relative privation to say that somebody is a bad person because they complain about life |

| I live in South Africa, and I am proud to say that not all of it is bad. My dad came here as a refugee from Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) when Mugabe came into power. Under British rule, many African nations were something extraordinary. For instance-- Nyasaland used to be a glorious gem (now Malawi, a war torn nation). |
