| then you should get a i5 4690k; there's no point in getting the i7 if all you do is game. |

| Games like GTA V/IV, BF4, Crysis 3 and soon to be others will take advantage of the hyperthreading. |

| If your just playing games it's little brother the I5 4690k is gonna be fine. The main difference is hyperthreading. |

"Games like GTA V/IV, BF4, Crysis 3 and soon to be others will take advantage of the hyperthreading."
if you mean "take advantage" then you probably will get a 5 FPS boost at most. 99% of the time you won't be able to tell the difference
you have to trust us when we say an i5 is enough. an I5 2500k, an old Sandy Bridge from four years ago, still performs very well in games. |

Yes, it's a great CPU. But you don't need it for now if all you're doing is gaming. If you're editing or rendering, by all means, go for the i7, but otherwise, the i5 will do just fine.

I think you should check EVERY game requirements first before buying the CPU. Otherwise, you'll regret wasting your money for an i7 4790k processor that doesn't run the other games that needs higher requirements.
And yes, i7 4790k is almost a good processor. It's not only a good gaming processor, but you can also run other programs quicker... |

@Jorm, what? For gaming purposes, you really can't buy a better CPU than the 4790K...

personally, i would've gone with the X99 platform and gone with the lowest 6 core processor from intel.

@Beard, but those make little to no sense right now for gaming.

Late Reply I know. But because The CPU uses 8 threads. It would then be that Roblox should goes so smooth as oil. I have The 4790k too. I do NOT recommend to Overclock. (The K behind CPU names means that they can Overclock) but still not recommended.
(Check out my profile/games) :D |
