A study found that money does buy happiness. The amount of money you make is directly correlated with your happiness.
However, it peaks at 75k a year. A person who makes 75k a year is no less happy than someone who makes 500k a year. Once you get to that wage, making more money doesn't really change anything.
I'm going for a career in computer programming. The average wage for computer programmers in the US is about 75k a year.
So basically, I don't even need to be special or amazing to live a happy life. I just need to be average.
Although, I will have a lot of debt after college that will probably drag a 75k paycheck down to 50k. But that debt won't last more than 10 years.
So I'll be set after my 30s.
Pick a good career, kids. Don't be like a garbage man or something.
