I think we should be able to test plugins before publishing them to the site. If the update didn't turn out to work, but several people updated it hoping that something new would be there, and find that it's now broken, it could be a bad situation because the plugin they might be using could be something they use a lot, and the fact that you also cant update backwards to previous versions...
This could also save you the time to test new coding in your plugin instead of publishing the plugin, updating the plugin, and then restarting your game just to test maybe a line of new code to see if it works or not...
Something like this could help plugin developers a lot, and i can say this because of my own experiences as a plugin developer, the hassle of publishing, updating, and restarting is a huge burden to me as a plugin developer, and not to mention that my internet also may be slow certain days, and could take up to 5 times the time to start up my game again, or publishing/updating a plugin...
What would it feel like to go through that process, just to test solo mode? Probably worse than plugins, but that's why it exists, to remove that stress. If you support, please comment, if you don't, state your reasoning. |
