I always keep seeing threads about needing new officers for someone's new clan
What if there were a group that people could join if they wanted to help said groups in a more organized fashion, in which people would be tested to see if they would qualify as a certain type of officer (whether it's training, administration, etc... otherwise, if they're unqualified, they would be trained to become a better officer and eventually join the ranks)?
Similar to a sports free agency in which clan owners contact officers in this group to help them out (although I don't think there would be any pay)
This would be created so that it would not only be more organized, but also to make sure clans acquire credible HRs instead of sketchy ones they pick off the streets of C&G.
Do you think this group would be convenient, or completely unnecessary? Preferably elaborate on why if you say it's unnecessary

Seviro,
Sorry, typed this up on my phone. To clarify the process:
C&G thread: I'm starting up a new group and I need officers
Instead of a random C&Ger who just wants an officer rank and may have no qualifications, the clan leader could "contract" a qualified officer from the free agency, almost like a mercenary officer (most likely without the pay)
+ a learning community would be formed inside the free agency officers but that's something else and more of a byproduct |

| So like an agency of experienced officers for "recruitment," per se? |

I feel like the issue would be finding people who'd commit to this kind of stuff. After all it's not uncommon for people to simply go inactive because they feel like it. |

2uo,
It's not possible to directly prevent such a problem, so the most effective solution would be to have as many officers partake in this and not a handful who might go inactive quickly
Besides, being in the group wouldn't just be sitting around waiting to be contracted (unless you choose to do that) |

| You're basically saying people who've had a lot of experience in clans but don't have a clan they represent can come here and then get recruited as a HR correct? |

| Would officers be ranked by genre? To clarify which ones a colonial group would need VS say a sci-fi clan would need. Basically categorized by genre. |

Would have to be a very elaborate group but its not a bad idea
You'd need a lot of support for it to work |

iConscious,
I wasn't thinking about them not having to be currently representing another group, but now that you mention it, that may raise some concerns
paratrooper,
I was moreso thinking it would be categorized as in, "I'm good at hosting trainings" versus something like "I'm good at advertising the group". If it were big enough it may branch off to more genre-based groups.
Val,
Yeah a lot of my ideas often need a lot of support in the end
Jenny,

| Mhm. It is generally hard to find colonial era officers. A lot of normal clan HRs think they can do it, but it takes an entire set of training just to learn half the commands and code words. Procedures and protocol takes much longer. It is a very hard genre to prove credibility in which is why I was asking. |

This is a system I actually wouldn't mind helping you set up if you wanted. :) It's a neat idea.
