Is there a way to do this that is understandable to an experienced scripter? (By experienced, i mean experienced, not pro).
What i wan't is basically a security camera with a player camera facing where the security camera is pointing. I noticed that you can create more then one player cameras, so is there any way to project the image that a player camera (That is not the original player camera!) sees onto a face of a block???
If anyone has a model they put in the toolbox, that would be sufficient. THANKS!!!
FYI, i have seen TGazza do this, but sadly he does not show how, or have his example in the toolbox :(. |

| You can't. You can make your own rendering system, but at anything above extremely low quality it will lag the game immensely. It is impractical. |

You could try using ray casting, but the result would be very rudimentary.

"PROFESSIONAL SEAGULL ENTHUSIAST AND TIME TRAVELER" I was going to mention this a few weeks ago, but is that a reference to Jonathan Livingston Seagull? |

@Jarod To be completely honest, I have no idea. My computer science teacher in secondary school put us into small 'learning groups', and somebody in my group came up with the team name 'The Seagull Enthusiasts and Chair Leg Inspectors'. It really just stuck, so I tend to put it in all of my bios.

| So where does the time traveler thing come from? From my understanding (As I haven't read it), that pretty much is a 100% positive reference to the book. |

@JarodOfOrbiter It must be some sort of freak coincidence. I just threw the time travel thing in there for the heck of it. I might consider reading the book now, since it sounds pretty interesting. Seagulls, time travel? IT HAS IT ALL!

hey, i just found this thread,
Yeah im working on a surface projector using raycast system for my tv/camera system but as others have posted it lags like anything while running. I'll be releasing the example soon just sorting out a few things before releasing
my example doesnt use roblox cameras but i've made my own camera but its low res as you'll see in my video (100 x 100 pixels)
link to video of my tv/camera system in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAPkl9osUZw
a place of mine that you can play around with my camera system: http://www.roblox.com/games/107292079/My-Camera-System-test
