| When I was younger, I used to love swimming. Ever since my self-esteem took a nosedive, though, I haven't liked it. Female swim apparel is not appropriate in the slightest IMO, haha, and it bothers me because I don't like revealing clothing. Male swimming apparel is revealing, too, if you don't wear a swim-shirt, so I can see why some of the guys here might not like it, either. |

Lol I love swimming but I did grow up with it, I can imagine the concerns you would have though. I agree that swimming outfits in general are really revealing.
I typically wear a shirt unless I'm alone. |

I grew up with it, too, actually. Yeah. I always wear a swim-shirt, but it tends to flip-up when I jump in... |

| Well honestly, there's no reason to be ashamed of your own body (in my opinion), but if it matters to you so much you could always get a (non-revealing) one-piece swimsuit. |

I have a pool with a bunch of nice big trees around it for privacy (Texas has alot of land) so I have alot of privacy
a bit of a pain having to clean it out though, but I really don't mind.
I completely agree on the self esteem thing though,
when we go to public pools or the beach I feel really odd and I typically stay out of the water. |

I haven't found anything I'm comfortable with yet, TBH. I've tried swim shorts, but the only ones in my size were short shorts. I've tried swim skorts, but they're too short, too. |

Used to love swimming, but I hated swim meets.
And did that one abuse video you posted get taken down?

I love swimming. I just dislike the public pools that are filled to the brim with little kids that keep bumping into you or disturbing the water to the point where it's impossible to relax. I'm not really self-conscious about the way I look, so the whole revealing thing isn't much of an issue for me.

I don't enjoy it all that much because I feel too exposed and vulnerable
unless it's a full-bodied swimsuit I probably won't feel comfortable
I like the feeling of swimming but not around others, I guess |

| I like swimming, but i hate wearing the swim gear, i have a full swimsuit that has an unnecessary gap from above my ass crack, to my shoulders, i don't wear it anyways, i always wear a sports bra, and its made of the same material, so i might just wear that with swimming shorts. |

I don't wear a swim shirt I don't really swim much either. I'm kinda sensitive about my stomach. I'm not overweight but apparently I've been wearing my pants "the wrong way" for years so now my stomach has adjusted to kinda hang out like a h o b b it

@Song
Maybe wear those things people wear when diving?
Not a whole scuba suit with all the equipment and the part that goes around your face but for example what the people who are at some aquariums wear when working with larger animals if it makes any sense. |

Pools are like countries. They're lovely and fun, but they'd be a thousand times better without any people there.

Are you talking about a wetsuit?

"That time when you get salt water into your nose"
Ouch, yeah, and then you feel like you poured bleach in your nose for the next few days!
"i don't like swimming either sensory issues with water"
Sensory issues...?
"i have aquaphobia"
Oh, how come?
"Well honestly, there's no reason to be ashamed of your own body (in my opinion), but if it matters to you so much you could always get a (non-revealing) one-piece swimsuit."
I've never found non-revealing on-piece swimsuits...I may just look online this year.
"Eh, it doesn't bother me, as a man, when I wear swim clothes.
My ribs do stick out because I'm thin, though, so that makes me feel a little weird. I'd actually love to learn how to swim, because I like the pool. "
I'm 5'0 and 115 pounds so I get scared that people are going to think, "Ewwww, you're fat!"
"I completely agree on the self esteem thing though,
when we go to public pools or the beach I feel really odd and I typically stay out of the water."
I usually leave the water as soon as the opportunity arises and put a towel on.
"Used to love swimming, but I hated swim meets."
I used to swim competitively, I think, and I hated it. That's why I quit. I guess that by finding so many sports I hated and then quit doing I finally managed to find fencing, though, so y'know, haha.
"I love swimming. I just dislike the public pools that are filled to the brim with little kids that keep bumping into you or disturbing the water to the point where it's impossible to relax. I'm not really self-conscious about the way I look, so the whole revealing thing isn't much of an issue for me."
Oh. I don't mind little kids, but I'm a bit of a germaphobe and thinking about other people peeing in the pool is enough to make me go nuts...
"I don't enjoy it all that much because I feel too exposed and vulnerable

Same, but I'm never alone.
"I like swimming, but i hate wearing the swim gear, i have a full swimsuit that has an unnecessary gap from to my shoulders, i don't wear it anyways, i always wear a sports bra, and its made of the same material, so i might just wear that with swimming shorts."
Me too. One time, I just put on a pair of my normal shorts and went swimming in those. It was much better than swimming with the stuff people are "supposed" to wear...
" don't wear a swim shirt I don't really swim much either. I'm kinda sensitive about my stomach. I'm not overweight but apparently I've been wearing my pants "the wrong way" for years so now my stomach has adjusted to kinda hang out like a h o b b it"
Yeah, me too...
"Maybe wear those things people wear when diving?

That might actually work. Might be difficult to get off, though!
"I don't even wear clothes when I swim I live alone :("
Oh.
"Pools are like countries. They're lovely and fun, but they'd be a thousand times better without any people there. "
Yes!!!
"I would KILL to go swimming again right now. ...what's this "too cold outside" you're talking about?"
I used to get that feeling where like spring would come and I'd be like "YEEEEEEEEESSSSS SWIMMING NOW!!!"
