I know right? I admire the works of African American/Creole artists. Reminds me of the music that is played in my dads culture (Judaism). In Judaism there is a type of music called "Klezmer", and it sounds very similar to African American Jazz, in my opinion. Only difference is that Klezmer is mostly fast paced and played in minor mostly. I'm South African, but America really does have a phenomenal music history and culture (not currently, but in the past).

I like the second one
My favorite artists are John Coltrane and Miles Davis, of course, but I love Chic Corea and some other more current jazz fusion artists.
If you haven't heard a recording yet, you should check out Spain by Chic Corea
