There have been many systems over the years for raiding. A certain KO amount to win, capture the flag, capture the terminal, etc. However, all of these have been biased in some way, shape, or form most of the time. So, because of this, I thought up this idea.
The ownership raiding system is actually quite simple. Before I describe it though, I'll describe some of the terms I'll be using.
"Pre-determined raid" - A raid/defense that is set-up ahead of time. Both groups know exactly what time these raids will happen. They are pre-determined to allow both groups to prepare for them, rather than have the "raiders" pre-flood and the defenders scramble some defenders up.
Before a war begins, both groups will agree to use either a pre-built map for this system of raiding (if this system gets a lot of support, I'll make a map for it later) or they can build their own map for it. The map simply has to be set-up similar to a RCL map, similar terrain on both sides with the fort in the middle.
From there, they will plan out the times for pre-determined raids and how many pre-determined raids they will have for the duration of the war. To "win" the war through this system, you must hold the fort for the longest total time during the duration of the war.
That is what sets this system apart from the classic CTF system. Your objective is not simply to capture the flag (fort), but also to hold it for as long as possible. The owner at the start of pre-determined raids is whoever owned it at the end of the last pre-determined raid. At the very beginning of the war the fort is in a neutral position and whoever gets their first captures it.
In-game there will be a counter that shows the total time (from all of the past pre-determined raids) that both teams have held the fort.
Weapons for the map will be decided by the two going to war. Both teams have the exact same weapons.

"Winner" of the war is whoever has held it the longest total time at the end of all the pre-determined raids.
Pre-determined raids last for a certain period of time (chosen by the groups when war is declared). The objective is not to "win" the pre-determined raids but simply to hold the fort as long as you can. For example, let's say they chose one hour pre-determined raids and they chose to have a total of 24 total pre-determined raids.
Group A holds the fort for a total of 12:38 and Group B holds the fort for a total of 11:22. Group A would win the war.

@Vich,
That's what the pre-determined raids are for.
Because they are set-up at times both groups know, no one would be able to camp and win. The timer does not increase for you if it's not during the time of a pre-determined raid.

@Reset,
How so? They're no different than a spontaneous raid.

Cool idea.
I'd implement it for my group if it was built. |

This makes me giggle
What is the problem with current raiding systems, that we would just revolutionize the clan world to make it so clans like FEAR and RAT are good because they can simply use numbers to abuse this methods. |
