Sup guys! Human was released yesterday and I finally got my grubby hands on it. This album has been highly anticipated for a year now and we can finally get to know the new lead singer Matt Walst. So, without further ado, let's get started!
Here's a quick rating of each song:
Human Race 3/10 Painkiller 10/10 Fallen Angel 10/10 Landmine 10/10 Tell Me Why 8/10 I Am Machine 10/10 So What 7/10 Car Crash 5/10 Nothing's Fair In Love And War 6/10 One Too Many 9/10 The End Is Not The Answer 8/10 The Real You 9/10
The album itself is quite good. You don't see too many Alternative-Metal albums these days and it's nice to see a newer one. Obvious favorites from this album will be Landmine and Fallen Angel. They really capture the feel of this album and Landmine brings a more Nu-Metal sound to it. Matt Walst brings a newer vocal style to the table and it does well. This album certainly captures the classic Three Days Grace feel if you ask me. Now let's move on to the criticism. The obvious tracks that didn't do well were Human Race and Car Crash. The songs were very repetitive in terms of lyrics and really drug on. The lyrics really did drag most of the songs down due to the repetitiveness. I mean really, Car Crash repeated the chorus 3 times each time it came around. Same thing with Human Race. Aside from these issues, the album was generally favorable.
In total, I give the album an 8.7/10. Despite capturing the feel and sound of Adam Gontier, repetitive lyrics and slow songs drag this album down a bit. It's certainly a good album to purchase.
Like my review? Hate my review? Upset because Adam Gontier left? Flame! |

| It wasn't that bad. It's just the lyrics weren't that great. |

| Car crash is just a bad song. Sure, the topic is relatable but the lyrics are repetitive and slow. It's set up exactly like Human Race. |
