In my 17 years of living, I've come too notice that popular Disney and Nick shows always portray American schools in a certain way and movies too.
American school from what I've seen is always portrayed in a way of extreme territoriality involving Diversity of different kinds of groups but lacking integration. In shows like all that cliche Disney crap good luck Charlie. Victorious and etc etc American schools are shown to be places where certain kids Can't mix with other kids. "the cool kids can only mix with the cool kids" "the cheerleaders" are too cool for the robotics kids or something. It's just what I've noticed on literally ALL American Disney and Nick shows and I'm wondering why this is the case and if it is anactual realistic representation of real life American school
im British and I just wanted wanted to hear from some Americans and what they have to say
(offer on my items)

nah disney and nick don't accurately portray it,
but people do tend to hang out in factions (i.e smart kids and jocks, people who are in ur class, etc)

It's kind of accurate but not for people that have diverse interests
When I was in high school I hung out with a variety of different groups, from programmers to athletes. I have a lot of widely different hobbies, plus the fact that I work in the reptile industry intrigued most people so I guess that helped |

this whole thought came to me when I was scrolling through channels and saw fhaggy High school musical and it's main plot was how kids couldn't mix with kids different to their group or whatever. and I was just wondering if it was anything like real life but from what yall telling obviously not. So is it entirely farfetched or there is some aspect of truth to it?

There's some aspect of truth to it but it's not that extreme
I know in some schools that the "cool kids" are a bunch of attention hungry, stuck up dumb asses that crave superiority
I ran into some of those people at my high school but they were few and far between, by grade 12 most people had agreed that they were not relevant at all |

It goes alongside with modern society. No one likes to admit it, but ethnic tribalism will always seem to occur and to mix with CHILD's media, it seems to be what not mesmerizing the newest generation.
In the average American public school, you will still see those who are Caucasian "haning out" with those who are Caucasian and vice-versa. |
