If the Scottish Labour Party gain power, we will go through a FULL reform. We will fix what Jordan broke. The groups affected will be:
1) Scottish Armed Forces - Our aim with this is to simply make the only military group the Scottish Armed Forces, and have no allies of the group as most of them, if not all, aren't actually owned by nobody and are inactive. All ranks will be kept how they are now, all that will change is the Minister of Defence. He or she will have full control after that of what happens within the Scottish Armed Forces.
2) Scottish Fire and Rescue - We shall consider whether to keep this group as it is currently inactive. Our Parliament members and Shadow Cabinet members will discuss this at a later date when we have a full group.
3) Scottish Secret Intelligence Service - We will have the same ideas of this like the ones with the Scottish Fire and Rescue group.
4) Police Scotland - Police Scotland will be kept, and it will be made active. Our aims will be to promote an active and dedicated Minister of Justice and Law Enforcement so he or she can build up the Police and make them active again.
5) Scottish Media Groups - There are currently 3 media groups. We will decide which one is the most active and make that the only media group. Having 3 will simply cause confusion. Our Minister of Media will be responsible for this.
6) City of Edinburgh Council - Action taken upon this group will be the same as Scottish Fire and Rescue.
7) Transport Scotland - We will try and reform this group and make it active again. This will be down to our Minister of Transport.
8) Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade - This group is vital. We shall reconsider who is currently allied with us but there will be no major changes. Our main ally, after the referendum, will be the United Kingdom.
*Please note that these aren't our main policies - these are just a guide to what will happen with the Scottish groups.*
Our aim is to make the Scottish systems much simpler and less hassle. Jordan left Scotland in a state, and Scottish Labour will make sure this doesn't happen again. |
