The Hawks will be resting four starters tonight; Al Horford, DeMarre Carroll, Kyle Korver and Paul Millsap all will rest tonight... Jeff Teague was originally ruled out of tonight's game as well with a left ankle sprain. Atlanta is 8-0 when Dennis Schröder starts so they've got the numbers in their favor, as well they're 5-1 when they've rested 3 or more starters.
The Hornets come off a double-overtime loss to Washington last night as both teams are playing back-to-back and one fighting for their playoff lives while the other (Atlanta) locked up the #1 spot in the Eastern conference last night with a 99-86 victory over Miami.
Tip-off set for just shortly after 7:00 EST.

After 12 minutes of play in Charlotte the Hornets lead 27-23.
These two teams are meeting for the first time since November when they split a pair of meetings... Hawks lost the first one 122-119 in double-OT (the Hawks only OT game of the season so far) and then they won the second meeting by 30 points. |

| Back-to-back 3 pointers by John Jenkins cuts the Hornets lead to 5 as this back and fourth quarter, closing in on halftime. |

| Yep, all 5 starters for the Hawks aren't playing... The bench is keeping it fairly close though. |

| The only reason Charlotte will win because Atlanta has no starters. |

| I'd say they are well on their way to the win... Coach Bud said before the game although it may frustrate fans that the starters are out he's trying to make sure they're as healthy as can be before the playoffs... Clinching the #1 seed in the East really helps us make sure no one gets hurt before the post-season. |

Good strategy,
Well even if Atlanta loses the rest of the games of the season, they'll still make the playoffs. |

| Hornets take this game 115-100 the final, like said all 5 Hawks starters did not play tonight and they've already locked up everything possible except the best record in the league but can't be to upset with a 55 win season so far. |

Next up for Charlotte - They'll host the Celtics on Monday in a huge game for both teams who are fighting for the eighth seed.
Meanwhile for Atlanta - They'll host Milwaukee on Monday in game that's big for the Bucks if they look to keep ground on the 6th seed they currently hold. |
