| I'm trying to make a simple program on there, but I'm noticing that 90% of the time everything is really complicated to do. I can't even "clone" something or make something draggable without a few thousand lines of code. It just amazes me that ROBLOX, a game made for CHILDREN, has a draggable option for GUIs but Visual Studio has 9000 lines of code involved. VS doesn't even have a "ZIndex" property which surprised me, anyway, since nobody cares I'll be quiet now. |

I'm using Visual C++ (not sure if that's the same thing) and I'm a bit surprised by the lack of necessary controls and properties. I can't even make a simple horizontal or vertical line, instead I have to get a label or something and make it really skinny.
But then again I'm a noob to Visual C++. |

| The version my school has is Visual Basic and you cant even create a new object button or anything which really limits the use of making something out of it |

| What exactly needs to be dragged? You have a form already, and you can create multiple forms. There's no reason to have any part of the form draggable when the form itself can be dragged. |

@Firefox I'm trying to make a draggable image, and it seems to be incredibly hard. Here on ROBLOX, I could do exactly what I want with literally a mouse click. |

Why must you drag it?
Also, are you using Visual Basic Studio? Also what year? I have VB Express 2010 and I can load it up for ya to see if I can help. |

| I use VB Express 2010 too, and I would like to make something draggable because it would take forever to do with arrow keys and stuff. But the that's not even my main problem, as I've said, I can't even "Clone" anything deeming VS useless. |

I found it funny in my class how bad people were at visual basic. The teacher asks for 2 check boxes to turn the light image on and off using a xor gate.
people were doing 40+ lines of extremely inefficient code while all it needed was 1 line |

| You should be able to clone something in the code. Let me see if I can help you out. I'll load up studio and come back. |

Let's say I want the user to make multiple of something? How would I do that without copying an object? |

I don't know what you're even trying to implement, so I don't know.
Normally you wouldn't need to copy anything. What are you trying to do? |

Let's say I want to make a button clone on ROBLOX so, say, a user can play two sounds at once via a textbutton. On ROBLOX I could do
local NewGui = SoundGui: Clone() NewGui.Parent = Game.Players.LocalPlayer.PlayerGui NewGui.Position = 1337, 1337 --I think I need brackets or quotes here but oh well.
In visual basic, I couldn't even get it to be "cloned" |

I'm trying to make it so a user can clone an image. I've tried
Dim NewImage as new Image
But I'm 90% sure that doesn't work. |

You're not understanding what I'm asking.
What are you trying to make? What does this application do? |

| The application itself is a bit of an mp3 player, using the Windows Media Player controls, which works great, but now I want it so if the user wants they can change the position of things by dragging them. |

| And I need that so the user can clone multiple versions of an image for the same program, I don't know why you need to know this stuff but whatever. |

For context. I still don't know what the heck you're doing.
What image? Dragging what? Dragging where? Where do the images go when they get dragged?
I can't help you if I don't know what you're trying to do. And it seems like you're just refusing to give me the answers to the questions I ask. If you don't answer my questions, I simply can't help you. |
