"we've all been using the word jealousy wrong"
if we've actually /all/ been using the word "wrong" then the new definition of the word becomes that definition. the definition of the word in conversational language is whatever the majority decide it to be. |

Nobody's corrected it since it's still being used the "wrong" way. Not every little thing about grammar and word usage has to be correct as long as people know what you're talking about. |

Does it really matter? Words get warped and twisted all the time. Seriously what are you trying to accomplish? |

"nope, look it up in a dictionary"
The dictionary doesn't define things, it works the other way around. Look up the difference between "prescriptive" and "descriptive" once you hit the 5th grade. |

no, you are trying to look smart.
and anyways it's not the "wrong way" to use that word if everyone uses it that way now.
list of words this has happened to:
awesome terrific literally
etc.
Just deal with it and stop being a mad little know-it-all reposter. |

But I think personally defining words is better.
Why don't you write a Definition Essay instead of just reading Oxford's. |
