Basically, it'll be like ARMA. A large open world, with multiple towns you can visit. The main gameplay would involve limited sprinting, death from 1-2 gunshots, death from poison, starvation, dehydration, falling from a great height, and limited ammo supply. You can attempt to run away from your opponents (however, there are no bots except for snakes and other wild life) however, blood loss is a factor. The longer you are bleeding, the less and less health you have until you blackout, and die. Extremely low health (1-15) will have a high-pitched ringing sound, which will get progressively louder as you near death, until you are dead, which will then have a *WHOOSH* sound, and then you'll have to restart the game. The actual design of the map would involve detailed models and terrain, and would also have textures.
A bloody screen will only occur if you have a helmet on (with goggles or similar eyeware) and you either A. Shoot someone point blank, or you take gunshots anywhere in your upper arms, chest, or head.
Spread/recoil is not reduced when you are looking down the sights (however, extendable stocks will reduce recoil when you look down the sights.)
Health does not regenerate, and your health is represented by a EKG monitor and blood levels and the only way to replenish health is to use a medkit with the proper supplies. Certain medkits will have a label that says "For wounds, minor and severe" and one that says "For broken bones."
Fall damage has a 80% chance of breaking one of your limbs, causing your walkspeed to reduce, and your camera go downwards as your character limps. You also have a random chance to start crawling if both legs are broken.

| I am working on something similar, not based of off Arma or anything, but the concepts are slightly close. |

Where's the fun in stumbling around like an idiot getting shot at, poisoned, and falling off cliffs? How do you win? Is there a message?
Apocalypse Rising comes alive because you form connections with other players in the same situation as you and zombies are used to drive people to either cooperate or fight each other. It teaches us a bit about human nature and empathy.
A game where you wander around bland patches of terrain with a few scattered towns without any action seems pretty boring to me.

Apoc rising without zombies. Anyway I can work out some scripts for the game if you need it created but not all.

| I was making something almost exactly like this! Except, it had a bit more of a cooperation aspect. Players would be able to band together to join militias/groups. I gave up on the project though, I can't script for crap. |
