I'm female
But if you think calisthenics don't gain mass
You're a fool
Research how to "get big" hon
Resistance is resistance. You eat more to get big.
Btw, I get stronger and new ones/muscular with calisthenics
Calisthenics>> unless you wanna look like a roused bodybuilder |

zombie i jus wntd 2 b offtopic for once
I never said calisthenics doesnt gain muscle but its more of a workout to make your body flexible
lifting will give you as much muscle as you want and help you make all kinds of gainsss |

"muscle>"
are you talking strength-wise, or aesthetic-wise... there's body-builders, and then there's strength-builders. |

I have gotten stronger with 8 months of calisthenics (in every way. My bench has gone up also)
Than I did with idk how much weightlifting
Calisthenics make just as many gains. Resistance is resistance. People who do calisthenics simply don't try to become huge (like body builders). They just try to get jacked/ripped and have as much functional strength as possible
Btw I am a 150~ pound female (18) and I bench 205,
I hate squat (weakness of calisthenics = leg day, lol) Btw I don't touch weights. |

You dont know how to lift if you arent making gains from it you its not only about how you lift and technique its how you eat
You also dont need to be a bodybuilder to lift its all about consistency and adding weight/reps to every workout and you'll still be ¨functional¨
Doesnt touch weights and referred to her bench lol |

| the thing about bodybuilding is you do it to look bigger... the more bulk and mass, the less functional you get, unless your only goal is to lift heavier things, which then you should be strength-building, not bodybuilding. |

I don't train with weights.
I maxed in my school's weight room before withdrawing.
I know more about this than you'd think, lol.
Honestly, I know the functionality of most muscles (including the lesser known ones). I know how to overload fibers/ect.
Btw honey, try lifting slow. You get bigger and stronger than going fast. I'm fairly certain you go fast btw. You can get big and strong with calisthenics and weights.
Lol I obviously am a tad bit (a lot) more educated in this than you.
You don't need to go heavy to get big. It's about time under tension. Try going 6 secs down, pause 2 secs, 4-6 secs up.
It isn't as good for some types of athlete, but it's magic for size and strength. |

| in bodybuilding, yes, you do build strength, but you build size moreso, and size is the end-goal. (for most) |

| calisthenics #1 thing is time under tension, which helps build endurance as well. |

when i say size is the end goal for most, i mean for those who bodybuild.
bodybuilding is more about aesthetics than functionality. |

Are you kidding there are workouts you can do while lifting
squating and when you are low wait a second then come up
isolation curls hold in lift position to add tension
bench press obviously you do it slowly and not only that I dont use my core unless im maxxing to make sure items arm strength and chest lift primarily
bench press you can also hold it on your chest for a few seconds then come up
thats only a few of them, you act like lifters dont know about tension, eudurance lifting with lower weight and lifting slowly
