Okay.
In ROBLOX Studio, there is a hierarchy. First, there's an entity called game which is invisible. Workspace is a child of game and everything under it as well. You can say "game.Workspace.Blah" or "Workspace.Blah". They work well but I would use game.Workspace.
Whatever is a child has a parent. Game is a parent of workspace. Workspace is a parent of Part.
You would also want the output box open and tons of space on your screen. Put the output box on the bottom of your screen, and the explorer/properties on the right, top and bottom, or in different windows. This could also be your default.
Anyways, let's start off with simple math!
In ROBLOX studio, math is pretty easy. I won't go into it since you're not dumb.
6/2, 6+2, 6*2, etc.

6/2, 6+2, 6*2, etc.
However, it's quite different with greater than and less than things, etc. And before we get into that, let's discuss variables. Variables are things you can define in Studio. For example, Jaiel = 1. Now "Jaiel" is recognized as the number 1. You have defined what Jaiel is. We can also do things such as, Brick = Workspace.Part where part is a child of workspace. How does math come into this? Well, it's actually quite simple.
Before we do that though, let's use print. Print allows you to have the output print out whatever you want onto it. Just make sure that whatever your printing is recognizable by Studio.
To use print, type print(""), e.g. print("PhiIIz is better than Jaiel at RCL.") The output will recognize this and once you hit play, it will show. Awesome right?
Now back to the math and stuff. Now that Jaiel is known as one, we can do some scripting.
Jaiel +1 wait() print(Jaiel)
It should say 2. Test the math out.
Anyways, the > or < or = symbols are not the only symbols you can use either.
== means is equal to ~= means not equal to >= greater than or equal to <= less than or equal to
Yeah...Stuff.
=====================Instances==============
First off, you want to know instances. Instances are things like fire.
For example, let's have a part in workspace. Then, insert a script.
Type this in the script:
F = Instance.new("Fire")
This creates a new instance called fire. Sparkles, fires, and other things are instances. Check the roblox wikia for more.
F.Parent = Workspace.Part
Or we can put the parent inside the parentheses.
F = Instance.new("Fire", Workspace)
There's your first lesson! |

Too bad. You posted this on a public forum.
You are not anywhere near good enough to make these.
This tutorial is awful. |

Did I give you your right to speak? No.
Silence.
It's not my fault you couldn't use your brain to create a better one and try. |

Sorry- I don't need your respect.
Yes, I could create a far better one. However, I still do not feel that I would want to create one at the moment. *If* and when I am ever going to make a tutorial series, it will be all out and very comprehensive.
I've played around with making some tutorials and they turned out pretty alright. |

What you do is you make a tutorial that is supposed to be about Lua, but you use a different language instead. Like:
For Loops!
For loops are things that execute code a certain number of times. Here is the syntax.
for( int I=0; I<=10; I++){ System.out.Println("Whats Up times") }
This would print Whats Up Times! 10 times. |

Stop being arrogant and actually try to help the community for once instead of taking away from it. You're a hindrance to every existence. |

| Yeah, this is a bit more confusing than the wiki. you don't need wait() after everything, it will just slow down your code and make it hard to read. You also talk about comparison symbols, but not their uses. Mediocre for round 1.1 |

Why are you being so stupid?
This thread helps absolutely no one.
I help people all the time- people at your level but not arrogant.
I believe I do more than you, your argument is invalid. |

Gee if only there was a full documentation for everything you could possibly script. Gee if only they were all categorized into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced categories. Gee if only they were available to players to see.
Oh wait, http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=Absolute_beginner%27s_guide_to_scripting
Don't be ignorant.
