and I'm in charge of one of the teams since they nominated me
We're debating about the topic of "gun control", and we're against it.
My team is made up of 13 of my classmates. The majority of them are introverts, procracsinators, nerds, or people who don't know what the hell is going on.
The other team is made up of 17 people - which i found extremely unfair - and consists of extroverts. I heard they are planning on doing power point presentations, and are going to be using graphs/tables about the recent deaths in the last decade over weaponry.
(I know this is like my second thread today on OT to ask for personal help, but heck, i'm screwed and i don't know what to do).
What should I do to make my argument stand out? My argument is against gun control.
How do I get the others to participate in the debate?!

Look for any inconsistencies in their arguments If one person says something and another person on the same team says something different, exploit the hell out of it. I've been on the "winning" side of so many debates just because of this even though we were only getting graded on if we participated or not. For a few minutes I actually believed that Telemachus was the main character of The Odyssey
If only I could be so grossly incadescent |

first of all, using cases is very important also, when they state something ask them where they got it from a claim is only as good as its source so that means make sure you have sources on your information also, a big thing is too talk about how guns have changed and that the 2nd amendment isnt clear and needs guidelines debating is like my main thing in school, if you want more help you can add me on skype pm me for it

| Talk about how if the government ever becomes corrupt, you and Bubba will personally take it back by exercising your Second Amendment rights. |

"is there even much of an argument against it"
1. it has a massive impact economically on business and tax revenue that manufacture guns
2. its completely unconstitutional and evidently contradicts our rights as an individual living in America
3. still thinking lol

I'll say that whenever they bring up a point that I can't counter, thanks

| I would suggest talking to your teacher. That kind of crap shouldn't be allowed. Teachers must be aware of their students and equally distribute the hard workers and lazy ones. |

they might use the elastic clause to counter this

| Like Shred said, put in the PowerPoint that there are quite a few loopholes to gun laws. |
