The BMT's will be held as designated in the AETC training schedule, each BMT is to be held by an AUTHORIZED AETC MTI. - [BRIEF] [1] The Military Training Instructor (MTI) will begin by informing the trainees that PTS is in effect, and if they speak out without PTS, they will perform 50 JJ's (jumping jacks). If the issue proceeds, the trainee will fail the BMT. If the trainee fails, they will be kicked and must participate in another BMT in order to reach the rank of E2. - [2] The Military Instructor (MTI) will instruct the trainees to perform faces in the order designated by the MTI. If a trainee consistently fails to perform a face in the right direction, they will be ordered to do 50 JJs (and every other trainee aswell). Having every trainee do the JJ's builds teamwork and aids to help trainees refrain from messing up again. (Note: Be sure to teach Present/Order arms and Parade rest/Attention) - [3] If your(The MTI's) trainees are lined up paralell to the area of which all the hats are located, have them do a "left face". The MTI will fall in infront of the trainees and say "SFL". The MTI will then say "Forward March" and take the trainees to the classroom building, then the MTI will have them halt infront of the building and have the trainees take off their covers. After everyone takes off their covers, the MTI will instruct them to proceed into the classroom and fill in from the left. The MTI will go over ALL ranks of the USAF, then quiz the trainees. Then the MTI will teach MAJCOMs and quiz the trainees on them. after that, the MTI will teach the three AF core values (integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do). - [4] After the classroom teaching is completed, the MTI will tell the trainees to get out of there seats and form a SFL behind him/her. The MTI will then proceed to the large obstacle course. The trainees will have 10 minutes to complete the entire course. Any trainees that cheat will do 150 JJs. - [5] After the ten minutes are up for the obstacle course, instruct all trainees to return to the starting point of the obby. The MTI will order the trainees into a SFL, then proceed to the Obby on the other side of the map, the one the MTI will take the trainees to will be the one that forks right. - [6] When the Military Training Instructor reaches the obstacle course with his trainees, he will order them to STS on the green line. The trainees will do 3 laps on the course, they will have 10 minutes to perform the laps. Make sure to delete the walls on the side of the first jumping obstacle, this will save valuable time. If trainees are caught cheating, they will do 150 JJs. When time is up, order the trainees to STS once more on the green line. Instruct the trainees to get into CLASS A. If they cannot afford the proper ranked Class A, you may char them. Remember to instruct them to wear the proper service cap for enlisted ranks. - [7] Graduation time. Remember to play our nation's national anthem, the Star Spangled Banner before every ceremony, BMTs and OCSs!. All individuals MUST face the flag and 'present arms' until the music ends. After the anthem has ended, make sure all the trainees have 'ordered arms'. Instruct the trainees to, when their name is called, to present arms to you until you salute back. Then you will inform them that they have passed or in rare cases, failed the BMT. Dont be lazy when telling them they passed. Make it special, its a graduation ceremony after all. Inform the trainees of their new rank (E2/Airman) and assign them a MAJCOM. Do the previous for all the trainees, then when you're done say something such as "Wonderful job today, I'm very proud of your hardwork"(Dont say it exactly as the example I provided). Then inform them that they are dismissed from the BMT. - [8] MTI's are REQUIRED to write down the names and new ranks of the BMT attendees, and send a PM to the CMSAF/SEA so that the promotions can be filled out in a timely manner. - APPROVED BY THE AIRFORCE CSAF/VCSAF/AETC CO.
