So I was reading about New Game+, and I realized that it would be cool if games could feature various changes to the plot and dialogue on subsequent playthroughs. New Game+ usually only features item and difficulty changes, not plot and dialogue changes.
In addition, even small changes to the environment would be neat, such as, for example, changing the color of the protagonists house or his/her car. I think that this, coupled with multiple-endings, would make relatively short ten hour games a lot more forgivable.

I was thinking something like this, but with the added feature of a new character if you make a new game after beating it. Each with a different storyline (Somehow ties with the main plot-line) and items.

Sounds interesting, would add a bit of variety to replays. This would couple neatly with multiple endings, too.
Maybe have the replay's changes be slightly influenced by what ending the previous playthrough got? |
