Hey C&G, cool kid Doccc here.
I want to hear your opinions on how a group can become massively popular, to the point of receiving a loyal following of thousands. I'm going to explain my ideas as to how one can mold their group to appeal to the masses as well as keeping a skilled and loyal community.
A simple philosophy of mine is that the old methods of spending hours at group trainings doing usually unproductive things need to become a thing of the past. These types of events, orchestrated by group high ranks that may or may not know what they are talking about, are blatantly boring and a huge waste of time for many. With the recent push of game development on Roblox, the average user is going to have a decreasing tolerance for poor development and inefficient systems. This means that any clan with hopes of appealing to the largest audience possible need to get one base component down before anything else: an experienced development team capable of producing proper products. Recent innovations by clans utilizing a promotion system via experience points at forts are a good example of efficient systems that will not bore most people. And don't forget about the importance of community within a group, while a completely technologically driven group would be fun at first, a certain level of community is required to provide the member with an everlasting attachment to the group.
Once a clan has set down the foundations of the group by utilizing proper development to decrease inefficiency and increase the members' enjoyment, then it is time to actually recruit new members. Before jumping to mass advertisements or PM bots, it is good to make sure the thematic elements of the group appeal to the targeted audience. Groups sporting futuristic red and black themes are commonly portrayed as evil and elitist, while blue and white induces the opposite feel. Certain types of players are more attracted to different themes, and the theme can actually be one of the biggest factors in whether a certain user will actually join the group or not. It is important to note that lighter colors prove to be dominant when appealing to the largest amount of people possible, to the point where simply black and white themes are in two of the largest groups known. If you wish to become a large clan, it is best to choose a light and not overly cliche theme to attract members.
With these two factors down, it is up to the leader to let people know that the group exists. Any means of advertising will yield similar results, however very well designed ads will always bring in higher quality (but admittedly less) members than a PM bot or front page game.
Finally, the longevity of a group will ultimately be decided by the quality of the high command. A group can have the most members in the world, however without competent leaders the member count will be rendered useless. If you feel that you will be unable to provide a significant portion of your time to your group, then don't bother hoping to lead a group to superclan status. The clan world is a competitive environment, and wherever you are slacking another person will be able to take your place. If a leader chooses his highest ranking officers with logic and not our of mere relationships, and is able to keep them in track, then the group will be able to function properly for as long as it needs.

| if you want a good clan go for really active but have it at like 1000 members maximum. anything beyond that usually gets out of control and unorganized |
