I. Basic Information --IA: The Role of the Grey. The Order of the Grey is a group defined solely by the pursuit of peace, equality, and balance between the respective Orders within the Force. All Force-sensitives are accepted into the group, and offered training. The Sith and the Jedi, both, have a say in what transpires concerning the affairs of the group, as the Council of Balance consists of seven masters from each adherence. True Jedi respect the Sith in their existence and understanding, and true Sith respect those true Jedi in their honor and strength. --IB: The Code of the Grey. There is no ignorance; there is knowledge. There is no fear; there is power. I am the heart of the Force. I am the revealing fire of light. I am the mystery of darkness. In balance with chaos and harmony, Immortal in the Force. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- II. Balance and Equality --IA: There will be no discrimination. The Order of the Grey is not to favor the Jedi over the Sith, or the Sith over the Jedi under any circumstances. Each respective idea presented to us is to be treated with clarity and respect. There will be no bias, there will be no discrimination, and there will be no infighting. Any instance of any of these will result in punishment, regardless of rank and circumstances. --IIB: There will be no bias. The Order of the Grey is to determine all matters concerning war democratically. The Council of Balance will consist of seven light-adherents, and seven dark-adherents, be them Sith, Jedi, or otherwise. They will be chosen based not on skill or power within their respective role, but by clarity, understanding, and open-mindedness towards the other. If an agreement is not reached by the Council as to a matter concerning war, then the Keeper, Guardian, and Master of the Grey (or any combination of the three depending upon availability) will intervene to be certain that one is reached. --IIC: There will be no infighting. The Order of the Grey is to consist of a balanced opinion and outlook. All Jedi are accepted, all Sith are accepted. Every single member of the Order is expected to treat each other fairly, and equally. Knowledge and training will be declined to no one within the group based on alignment. True Jedi respect the Sith, and true Sith respect the Jedi. The Grey will follow this word for word. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- III. Ranks and Leadership --IIIA: The rank system. The Order of the Grey is not a military, and it does not value on sentient over the other based on experience or power. Regardless, a rank system is a necessity to any structured group, so I will offer you clarity. The numerals attached to each rank signify their status in our structure, and members of the same numeral hold no authority over those of the same numeral, regardless of specific rank. Of course, all points of view are to be respected, but authority exists when those perspectives have been organized and placed. Now, I will go through the entire rank set-up, and describe each position: [I] - Grey Initiate: The Initiates of the Order have made their pursuit of balance and knowledge known, and will not be mistreated. They serve as the future of our Order. [II] - Grey Initiate (Advanced): This serves to differentiate a stage of training within our Order from another, and serves very little specific purpose. [III] - Grey Apprentice: This rank serves to identify Initiates that have been chosen for personal training by Grey Knights and above. [III] - Grey Adept: This rank exists for those Initiates who have not been chosen for personal training, but nonetheless exhibit talent and understanding. This serves as a gateway between the Initiate and the Knight without the need of a Master. [IV] - Grey Knight: Once an Apprentice or an Adept has been trained sufficiently, they are made Knights. Knights serve as the base of our Order, and exhibit personal knowledge and ability. [V] - Grey Guardian: This, and the following two roles are the defining stage of our Order, where a pathway is chosen for specialized training. The Guardian, specifically, specializes in Lightsaber combat. [V] - Grey Force-Adherent: The Force-Adherent, specifically, specializes in an understanding of the Force. [V] - Grey Protector: The Protector, however, prefers to maintain balance between the two, and attain a sufficient training in each. [VI] - Grey Battlemaster: This class serves to identify fully-trained Guardians. [VI] - Grey Force-Master This class serves to identify fully-trained Force-Adherents. [VI] - Grey Warden: This class serves to identify fully-trained Protectors. [VII] - Grey Master: This rank is reserved for masters, simply enough. [VIII] - The Council of Balance: The Council of Balance is the Council of our Order, and consists of seven Jedi Masters and seven Sith Lords. |
