Gets together, with a copy of the Unreal SDK. (and we all magically learn how to use 3d modelling software and coding in uScript)
We all (+ Arenimax Studios) get together and make an actual game to try to compete with both the indie market and the triple A market
I would theoretically write the storyline, do creative stuff like conceptual mechanics, and do graphic effects that's what I do
How many subs would this game sell?

umm
let's get some server specs then
yeah
uhh pretend the download speed on the server is 100TB/sec (aka Warcraft speeds, and super duper expensive)
graphics are about Dragon Age Inquisition level
and enough space to hold 75000 x 2^10 accounts (aka really expensive and Warcraft.)
also lag is at it's worst, about 80ms.

Like if this were to actually happen,
I'd strictly push towards a direction of player freedom in every aspect.
One of those things where random events occur everywhere and so frequently, you will NEVER have the same playthrough each time.
One of those things where you can be this mystical hero, go kill some trolls, go on a hunting spree, go out and join a thieves guild, go and kill some dragons, make some epic armor, build sick builds and skill trees, take siege of enemy territory, sail on a ship around this massive world, to anywhere you want, and even find hidden islands, harvest trees, and hidden materials from this island, come home, go to a blacksmith, and make or buy 100% custom weapons and armor using this material,
All to come home in your own player house visible to anyone, and take a drink there, mess with stuff, decorate, etc.
And if you want to be the criminal character, you can go out and burn people's stuff down, kill NPCs and they stay dead, rob players and NPCs, etc. etc.
Basically ESO, with more Archage and Guild Wars 2, all mixed in with the advantages a game like Skyrim has into the MMO formula, topping it off with even more freedom.

because if I am to ever make an MMO I would make a Skyrim clone as an MMO.
it's what pissed everyone off (including Bethesda staff) about ESO.
