This isn't a list-all post, or a suggestion-to-end-all-suggestions.
This is basically, in my opinion, what clans may need in wars to actually enjoy themselves:
> Flaming allowed, within moderation, so long as the war isn't dominated by harassment instead of banter.
> A discussion at some point and time between each clan going to be involved. War IS a declaration, yes, but if you want to have an enjoyable war, try as best as possible to not anger or upset the opposing side. It'll just make them pull stuff on you.
> Be respectful. Teasing and joking is fine, but a war is a war. It's meant for each side to fight, yes, but also have fun. Be respectful of your enemy and they'll respect you.
> Depending on the kind of war (trying to prove who's better, or maybe just for fun:) allowing allies. As I said, if you just want to 1-1 and see who's the top dog, go ahead. But if you want a real war to boost your activity and have fun? Try allowing some allies on any side.
> Depending on the clan you're warring (either a respectful or clan full of dirtbags,) potentially disallowing entry during the war, if it is going to be short. This stops a few things:
1. The clan with the most hype getting the most people off of C&G 2. Clan hoppers, mercenaries, and scumbags carrying one side in the war. Again, this can be both good or bad, depending on the duration of the war and the clan you are fighting. Both sides would need to agree.
> A set duration to the war, instead of a warscore. Warscore would be disregarded, and after the time is up, the clan who comes out as the obvious victor is just that. This would require two REASONABLE leaders (haha that's funny) coming together and trying to agree. If one side just completely dies and is no longer even getting anywhere, the other clan may be able to end the war prematurely. This does not mean a clan pull at "auto-win" any time they want. Just two clans duking it out until the end.
> Maybe, just maybe: disregarding who is winning or losing. Just fighting a war for the sake of it, up until a certain point. Just duke it out, have fun, kill each other. The war can end at a predetermined date with a ceasefire and no victor being announced.
These are all my opinions, disagree or not.
What are your ideas? |

| I'm not going to pretend to not be biased towards SC, but I am pretty fair about most things. Not everyone is, unfortunately. One thing that would have to be added to this list is to have a genuine and unbiased committee who could actually settle things once and for all. |

@Dravum
That was partially proposed, and I agree. I believe wars are declarations, but negotiation is VITAL to an enjoyable war. If the two clans can agree to have a civilized discussion at the end of it, we may get somewhere. |

| what clans need in wars is a neutral mediator that counts the official war score and holds both bases, including making all decisions related to the war |

@Fro
While that /seems/ reasonable, the chances of the mediator become corrupted or being biased towards one side would be very high. I could see one clan choosing a mediator, convincing the opposing clan that the mediator is a fair person, and then having control of the whole thing. |

| This war undoubtedly would have taken a completely different path had Killer not have to leave for India. His HRs have run amok and it really is disgraceful to see how different the attitudes and egos are between him and his collective HICOM. |

Completely agree.
The main thing I would say is, keep it off C&G. Keep it chill. Wars are only fun, when both sides are having fun.

i think the main issue comes down to people not wanting to lose
sure, every clan wants to win, but this attitude causes clans to do pretty much anything to win the war, even if it means using dirty and cheap tactics |

My suggestion regarding no victor being decided could fix that, Ned.

meh i like the idea but i see friendly wars more between allies
which could also tend to lead to disruption between those alliances for things that could occur
clans are content with not even warring at this point simply because they dont want to lose or keep their reputation
clans just need to war, if the other clan refuses to cooperate, keep raiding their base until a sufficient amount of wins are gotten, then move on

Competitive people drive wars, it can be difficult to find people who are at the highest level of competition who are 'acceptable' as people.
In other competitive games they have moderation. The only reason why we have such big issues with usual stuff with war is because no one's stopping them |
