china was not as powerful back then
russia would have been easily defeated after wwii if we deicded to sacrifice american lives taking berlin
but no, we let russia do it and they got all the german nuclear test data and built their own nuclear weapons
we could have stopped future bloodshed but did not |

I think Truman did decently for his job. He assumed command of a grieving nation, and saved the lives of countless Americans. However it was at the expense of hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians... And his dismissing of MacArthur in Korea is kind of sad.
