" can only store about 100gb of games and apps"
What kind of console do you have???
They can actually hold around 300-400 gb as they have 500 gb harddrives.
If they could only hold 100 gb you could only have like 3 big title games on it at a time.
Secondly, to everyone claiming that you don't have to spend more, that is where he is right. You do have to spend more money on a gaming computer(Around 500 dollars for something on par with a console, More if you're the kind of person who likes to keep his computer as "top of the line") then you ever will on a console.
Computers also change way quicker than consoles do, so there's that too :/. |

I would like to know what godly laptop you have because good laptops tend to be as much as their desktop counterparts if not more expensive.
Also what games are you playing and where the hell did you find such a computer. |

| actually a 400$ pc will outpreform a console because console hardware is static over a long period of time while a brand new 400$ pc will have the latest 400$ range parts |

The good ones I'm looking at from people who make a living out of building them are actually around 500 :/.
Although, yes they probably would be ever so slightly better than a console, but to be honest you won't see major differences unless you get a 4k gaming computer, which will run you for almost 1.5 grand. Could be less now as the one my friend was trying to get me to buy was around 1.6, but that was back in January so idk.
However you do bring up a good point that in a year or so, a 400-500 dollar computer will heavily outperform an xbox or a ps4.
At the moment however? I wouldn't say the difference is enough to constitute a 100-200 dollar price difference. But hey, I do both console and computer(As I'm a major halo buff and prefer to play certain games on console while others I prefer to play on the computer). |

Actually gamespot made computers that were the same price as a xbox one but just ran better than the xbox one |

Still brings me to the point where you won't see major differences at all really unless you go for 4k, although that is pretty cool.

Yeah 360 runs at 720.
I don't get why they advertise everything on the 360 as 1080, cause half the games that "run at 1080p" really don't.
Also dood, we're talking about the xbone here, not the 360.
Get your ass out of 2007. |

| Also if that vid proves anything it proves that while now, similarly priced consoles and computers have minimal differences, we will see major differences in the future, since that vid is from 2013 comparing a likely new computer at the time to a console from '07. |

Ok well if you want to talk 2015 AMD is releasing new GPUs in Q2 of this year (like may) that will out perform a 980.
Here this probably wont mean anything to you but:
GTX 980 bit bus: 256 R9 390x bit bus: 4096
