How is Lord Capulet a victim to Juliet? Who has more power between Lord Capulet and Juliet? I mainly need quotes and a quick explanation, then I will make it all GCSE worthy |

My assessment question is about power, and who possess it I need to go into detail on how possibly juliet is a manipulative figure and how Lord Capulet went against contextual expectation to please her |

Because like I really don't remember a point where there is a power shift.
I'm trying to hard to think about and Lord.C wanted the best for his daughter and wished her and Paris to be married when she was of the right age, so a more loving and protective relationship before he became angry at her when she told him she didn't want to marry Paris.
So I guess if you're looking for power quotes, look for that and contrast it with his earlier actions. |

I'll explain how she can be interpreted as a manipulative character While Lord Capulet was raging at her in Act 3 scene 5 she already married romeo in secret, and he doesn't know this. She doesn't own up and begs for forgiveness to keep up her manipulative act. In the last scene/act Lord C was going to make her a gold statue, even when she's dead she's getting praise and respect for being rebellious. Lord Capulet goes against contextual expectation for giving her things like a "scope of choice" |

I don't agree with the interpretation as she's deceiving him and is in no way attempting to coerce him into doing anything i.e. manipulating.
The gold statue simply comes down to how he loves his daughter
The question your school has given you is pretty difficult since she isn't really manipulative. |

There are probably better reasons but I seriously cba I can argue that Lord Capulet possess more power but it will seem to basic and I wont really have such a complex explanation. |

Just state that Lord Capulet has more power due to him being the head of the house
if your teachers disagree they're obvious idiots |

"it will seem basic"
there are no two ways about it, he obviously has all of the power |
