In order to satisfy the clan community in some way, HEX will be implementing a competitive system in the near future. Please not HEX wasn't designed for the clan community and ROBLOX in general will remain as the main player base.
We have noticed that clans play a big part in the game. As that wasn't expected, the clan system will be revamped in order to make the clans more private and competitive.
As of now, you can simply join a clan by changing the setting in your customize tab, which allows you to be put in the same team as other members who have this clan tag.
Two big features to enhance the experience are considered (none of this can be confirmed):
1- A full clan system
You will be able to create a clan as a leader with robux, credits, we don't know yet. When creating a clan, you will enter the three letters and a decal ID for its logo, and maybe even a full clan name. Only the three letters will be displayed in-game, as the decal (and maybe the full clan name) will be displayed on the clan page.
The clan page will also display its members (clan leaders can invite members if they aren't in a clan already), the statistics (will come with the statistics update), etc.
A clan leaderboard is then considered. It would most likely compile the players' level (in the main game) and the clan's win/loss ratio (in the competitive game).
The importance of clans then brings us to the next feature we're considering to implement.
2- A competitive instance
A competitive instance would be where players with above average skill would gather. Killing front page gamers gets quite boring and unchallenging after some time, so we are thinking about creating a lobby where clans and players gather. This lobby would most likely be accessed from the main game using the universe system. Once you join this lobby, you would be able to challenge another player or, if you are a clan leader, to challenge another clan (6v6 tops, may change in the future).

Above is a visual representation (which is hopefully understandable) of how the competitive system would work. There will be a minimum level required in order to join the competitive lobby (somewhere around 20-50).
When challenging another clan, you would be able to choose which map and game mode to use. When challenging a player, you would choose which map and maybe the amount of kills required in order to win. We are not sure yet if only basic weapons should be provided, or if you should be able to use your personal equipment; this may become an option that comes along with the map and the game mode options.
As the main game's leaderboard would show the top levels, the competitive game's leaderboard would show something similar to the win/loss ratio while also considering the amount of win. In order to make sure players don't cheat by farming wins on another account, a filter would be put in place which would restrict players to fighting their opponent only if they are in their level range. Therefore, farming kills on a level 40 while you are level 43 would only ruin the other player's statistics. The competitive leaderboard would often be looked at to make sure players do not cheat.
This thread was rushed, but these are the two big features we're planning to implement in the future. Suggest us whatever you think will make the clan system more enjoyable and legitimate. |

Statistics is #1 importance
Ranked matches would be cool if you're going to write a matchmaking system, but if you do make sure you can just be randomly matched like it is now as well |

I think personal equipment should be used, keeping the main game active and giving people something to strive for to better their clans.
Also for a 6v6, I think it'd be neat to have each person use a different primary class, making the clan members more 'specialized'. |

| Also, I think all game modes should be included within competitive games. Team skirmishes would make it too much like RCL where everyone would camp. |

So one sniper, one SMG, etc. |

But would each player on a team have a separate class or can they choose any weapon out of the given?
So if I'm on a team and I decide I want to be the sniper, I would be the only sniper for the team and must stick with that class until the match is over. |

But then again it'd be a pain to have atleast 1 active member for each class when fighting
Pre-determined loadouts are most likely gonna be a thing but I don't think there would be a limit of player for each class |
