it's like i dont feel too home where i live and i am exposed to american stuff like 24/7
might study there as a foreign student and then try to settle down somewhere in like NY or chicago or something chicago looks pretty but theres bad neighborhoods too from what i've heard same with NY

Massachusetts is a nice place to live, but you'll need a good job since the standard of living is expensive or it's more difficult. New York has a better or safer environment so you should study in ny or settle down there.
Depending on skill and work, sort of determines which state you might want to settle down in. |

why not? why would you not want to live in the most economically and militarily powerful nation in the world? hell, we even have the best colleges and universities in the world.
it's definitely not a bad place to live at all. the u.s. just gets a lot of hate because we're just more important; thus, we are always being focused on. |

@jared: i know i usually say i hate most of the police in the U.S. which i do because there's simply too many bad apples
and that america is built up from slavery etc
but i just feel like "man, the u.s. is huge. obviously there's idiots and good people." and it feels like there's much more to do there than in sweden
@thelegendarytakbir: i'd like to live in an inexpensive area because i'd come to the u.s. pretty much alone + i dont want to work my ass off and not get enough money to make a living

dont just say "america" was built up from slavery, that would be ignorant. there are so many other european nations responsible for way worse acts of slavery and racism than the u.s., such as a britain for example.
>americans are idiots
god, i hate that stereotype so much because it isn't even true where i live. my school is extremely academically competitive |

true, true. a lot of "smart" people have those at my school. hell, i'm in all ap classes, and my class rank is only 500-ish out of 1200.
>but a good amount sure as hell are
there's stupid people across the world; europeans just like someone to laugh at. |

yeah, it is. i'm just saying don't put all of the blame on the u.s. like a lot of people do.
everyone loves to point out slavery in the u.s. but never likes to mention something like the british and the congos. |

You'll be stabbed everywhere else by everything ever, however. |
