Which sucks because I was in love with the Public School preview I had today. It was fun, sounds interesting, and all the students were actually accepting. I got into a debate with the debate club leader and we had to have a draw. I'm in 8th grade and he's in 11th! I loved everyone there and it was just fun.
But I can't go, because "I am a Christian and I can't believe in evolution."

OP... slap the heck out of your parents for me. The most christian person I know is at a public school. The one I go to. Happens to be my best friend. op...your parents are outright stupid. |

It's ok
I've been in Christian school all of my life
I've never been in public school because I've been scared of public schools where I live (they're all bad where I live, I'm not lucky like you northern people where going to a private school doesn't make a difference, Private school here is like a safe haven and Public School is basically the ghetto) |

@Arc
Believe it or not. I did my part and it's all I can do.
I'll say this though, I argued with my mom on why I think Private Christian School is a good idea for me during dinner.

| If parents shove their religion down their child's throat so hard they can't breathe in life they deserve their child to abandon them. Too much pressure and restriction prevents growth. |

But I don't know much about Christ. I'm going to be interviewed about the damn bible in order to enroll unless I get ALL of the answers right.
My parents (well my mom, don't know much about my dad) is forcing me to be a Christian, that's what happening here.

That is called ignorance, dear OP.
Whoever told you you can't go, tell them they're improving the reason why people hate Christians, they can't accept anybody who is different.
I'm in a Southern school, so everybody is Christian, but all my best friends are people who go to Church on regular times and have strong religious beliefs, but even if I'm an Atheist and have admitted it to them several times they still insist on being my best friend.

@Freddy
I wish they would be accepting.
I never liked the idea that I have to live in a specific set of rules in order to have a good afterlife. Organized religion ruined the famous Judeo and Christianity beliefs so badly.
I overheard a priest on my grandma's television. He said: "You'll be sentenced to death, if you go about two weeks without praying, reading the bible, and spreading the word of God." You determine how your relationship with God is. He's accepting of everyone and everything, living under "certain conditions" won't help at all. He's forgiving. He's always forgiving.

Restriction, you say?
I'm not allowed to ride my bike 1/2 mile down the road to the library, and I;ve been grounded for 2 years for getting a C on my report card.

I want to believe in God. But if I have to set heavy standards and limitations in my life just to please him, then no.

It really isn't,
but it's the fact that my parents are sending me to a Christian Highschool because they're cramming God down my throat.

God has said multiple times in the Bible that as long as you lead a good life, full of charity and friendlyness, then you will most definetly be allowed into Heaven with open arms.
I still don't get where people say "If ur not Christian ur going to heeeeell"
God has said multiple times that we all sin, and he loves us even if we do, so as long as you lead a life of good will, you'll be accepted into Heaven.
Of course, if Christianity is true.

@Skater
if you don't like religion being shoved down your throat then demand that you don't want to be a christian
Here in the deep, moist, hot south, Christian highschools are like rival g@ngz.
currently there's an instantgrandma account for my school that insults the 9th and 8th graders...
If 2 schools fight... they are bound to have a big fight along the way. I MEAN THEY'RE STILL A BUNCH OF SWEATY TEENAGERS FIGHTING BUT still it's a g@ng war.
Who knew g@ngs could also go to rich, $500 shoe wearing, iPhone selfie taking, idiotic, rich kids too?
Anyway
just DEMAND that you don't want to be christian
I tried to open my mom and dad's eyes about being accepting of other types of people... Sadly they only have a 1-way view of society
like men should be "men" and women should be "women"
but they are all followers of society.
I hate society.
They're basically radicals.
stupid single minded radicals.
My parents were never taught about other religions. They also can't make good RELIGIOUS arguments...
I believe in God! Just not as in the same way.
Like Jesus might not have walked on water. But he might have stood up in a boat. |

"Of course, if Christianity is true."
Society's been making it harder and harder to believe in Christianity and "follow their rules." So many prepubescent people bragging about already "doing it", teens talking about how good it feels to "maturate" (and it feels purifying)...
It's just blind for my parents to expect me to not fall to these "sins". Hormones man.
