| Read the tutorials on the Roblox wiki to get started and find detailed information on things, but mostly study other people's scripts after you finish the basics. |

Watch some of the ROBLOX University videos on YouTube. I'm even watching them now - I wish I knew some of the ideas they teach there when I first started.
You should probably have a basic understanding of scripting before you do, however. Try reading wiki articles, or looking and messing with other people's scripts.

| Also, do the scripting exercises when you use the wiki. This will challenge you, and also make sure that you've mastered/completed the topic you've read. |

I recommend watching Peaspod's Scripting Tutorials. They're great.
Also, don't try to learn how to type it so much as read it. A good guy gave me that advice, it's highly true.
You need to understand how to read it in order to type it, so don't try memorizing typing without comprehending it. |

| I am making a group that is meant to teach people how to script. The group's name is LightingLegends. |

You're from C&G so I have really low hopes for you learning much of anything.
Every single C&Ger who comes to Scripters just spews constant stupidity which is, of course, from C&G. |

I like your enthusiasm but i hope you know it's gona take a long time to learn all of
this stuff, like for instance i play Minecraft and i'm actually a great MC coder,
but it took me about 1 year just to know like how to set up a score board...
basically what i'm saying is you may become a great map maker but it could take like
1 or 2 years so don't rush it! :|

| Just read through like three tutorials and it seems easy enough. I just need to remember the syntax and proper structure of how specific lines of code are written. |

You want to understand how the Object Browser works. You'll save yourself countless hours with it.
