"With Android, you can just plug in the device to a computer and go to recovery (basically Advanced Startup in Windows) and load a ROM from there."
Unless you absolutely trash it, which is again impossible to do on iOS |

"wired"
I didn't know reports from 3 months ago were relevant? Especially since the release of 8.1.2, 8.1.3, 8.2, and 8.3 |

"It's extremely hard but you can eventually unbrick an Android device" Like smashing a brick to an Android device?
http://rootmyandroid.org/how-to-unbrick-your-android-device-the-ultimate-guide.html
Here is several ways to unbrick a Android device by loading a new ROM using a accessory of software. You can load a ROM of your choice including Lollipop and CyangenMod. |

"Like smashing a brick to an Android device?"
Hah But yeah, it's possible I've watched a few YT videos talking about it just in case I ended up bricking my S3 when rooting it

| Just like iOS JailBreaking, there are risks with rooting. It's like when you install updates with BIOS/Windows Update and you suddenly stop it. |

Probably the best thing about jailbreaking is that it isn't for any specific device, most methods apply to all devices But Android phones have the freedom of a jailbroken Apple device by default most of the time

"Dang, Apple had to release so many updates to cure it's bugs?"
8.1.2 and 8.1.3 were basic releases over several months
8.2 is still in beta and has the Apple Watch API to be released in March
8.3 is still in beta and is a further release, probably past April

There are zero risks with jailbreaking |

Plus the ability of using custom ROMS, overclocking and switching channels without a remote (Universal Remote; perfect for trolling restaurants and random homes) |

1. Sandboxing is disabled. 2. You don't get updates to OS (especially if it's a urgent one)

"connecting to iTunes is hard"
Very hard, considering with Android, you can backup your root on your phone and forget about it. Updates come auto. |

Also, http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/4-compelling-security-reasons-jailbreak-iphone-ipad/
Security patches won't download. People aren't going to release a jailbreak for iOS x.x on the first day of release (unlike Android, open source FTW). |

1. that website lists non-problems, plus changing your root pw is easy
2. "Security patches won't download"
They will on itunes
"People aren't going to release a jailbreak for iOS x.x on the first day of release"
Jailbreaking is a gimmick anyways, I have not done it for years |

| Android is very easy to unbrick actually. If you aren smart and make nandroid backups in your recovery every now and then, you can easily restore the last backed up state of the device. I've bricked my phone countless times tinkering around with custom ROMs and I've been able to fix it every time. |

There are multiple Android devices There's only ever one iPhone/Pod/Pad released every one or two years
