Some android manufacturers prohibit rooting of the phones
You shouldn't have to exploit it to fix it |

"My counter argument."
I've had none of those issues since using iOS 8.0 Beta 1 back in June 2014
the GMT bug was Google's problem
everything else no one I know has experienced
Isolated cases =/= problems |

"So does Apple."
1. Jailbreaking is not the same as rooting
2. Some Apple employees will service jailbroken phones and tablets
3. You can not brick an iOS device, but you can break an android phone though rooting |

Just because you don't experience it, doesn't mean it happens. Just because you never had autism (maybe), doesn't mean it doesn't exist. |

jailbreaking and rooting essentially serve the same purpose

"Just because you don't experience it, doesn't mean it happens."
Except that webpage is the first I've seen of nearly half of those issues
I'm sure I would have noticed if it were a problem, either though experience or reading online or through friends

"lmgtfy"
Bricking implies that the iPhone is completely broken and you have ruined it thorough the software
However, because of the bootrom, iPhone can not be completely broken through software. You can always DFU restore. |

With Android, you can just plug in the device to a computer and go to recovery (basically Advanced Startup in Windows) and load a ROM from there. |

It's extremely hard but you can eventually unbrick an Android device The methods are scarce though and dependent on what actions lead to it being bricked
