How would I update a function every frame per second, something like every frame add one to the value?

You mean call a function every frame per second? Well you can do something like:
local number = 0; game:GetService("RunService").RenderStepped:connect(function() number = number + 1; end); |

Every renderframe or every heartbeat frame?
::RenderStepped runs fast but is dependent on frames per second (generally around 60 iterations per second) ::Stepped runs at a (mostly) constant 30 times per second |
