| @words hi bro, and trapping it's pretty advanced you should read the progress reports on it. |

| Uh no it's not. Nothing on roblox is advanced. It's all just a bunch of bricks. Even if you scripted it, which I doubt, it's still not advanced. |

How on earth is it a waste?
I'm pointing out the true and obvious fact that nothing made in roblox is 'advanced technology'. It's a creation made with, a prety decent, I must say, game engine.
It'd be 'Advanced technology' if you made a game engine that could run perfectly with incredibly tiny voxels, but you can't do that on Roblox, so it's not advanced technology. |

Uh.. How does that make it advanced?
What's advanced about a brick that makes other bricks when you click, probably inefficient and using hundreds of threads?
Uh.. Nothing... |

it requires work, time, and patience to make that brick do something
its a building game using this game's engine, we can do what we want, if you are just going to insult peoples hard work, i'll show you the door |

i think you have to understand that 'advanced' in Roblox terms in something completely different than 'advanced' in real life, or on the internet.
I think you got your perspectives wrong.

I'm not insulting it. I'm pointing out that an assertion you're making is false.
And seriously, if it requires work, time and patience to script a basic script, whoever's scripting it you should seriously "fire" to get a better scripter. |

@Silent
Nothing on roblox is advanced, assuming you're also only reffering to user-created items.
Lua is incredibly easy to manipulate to do what you want it to do.
There's NOTHING advanced about another gun. There's ___THOUSANDS___ of them in the user catalog, and I doubt yours does much else. |

Yeah you can have advanced scripts, that's perfectly justifiable. If you're needfully manipulating metatables and string patterns then it's advanced, sure.
And while coding a gun might seem advanced to you it's clear you've never done anything other than Roblox. |

Seems I didn't finish my first paragraph's point.
An advanced script doesn't make an advanced object.
I could make a super advamced zombie script which controls hundreds of zombies from a single script, infact that'd be an easy thing to do, but that doesn't make each zombie advanced, it just means the script is better than other scripts. The zombie doesn't do anything exceptional. Of course it's worth mentioning, and obviously possibly even bragging about if you've put enough work into it, but not saying it's a technological advancement in zombies. Simply that it's got a better script.
And since I have no benchmarking proof of your gun's scripts running any more efficiently than your average ones, I don't see how you can justifiably call them advanced either. |
