| if you care and love for someone that much that you don't know than you need your life re-evaluated. |

| slaughtering and killing people is what most psychologists believe to calm the mind whereas violent television does not |

| I used to play one of those in my younger days. I liked it because I had absolutely no skill with the opposite _ and it made me feel like I was actually interacting with a real person. Not enough to make me obsessed or anything. |

| I think dating sims are silly and amusing. I am the type of person to play One Direction Dating Simulator 2015 or something dumb like that. I do not take them seriously as if it was real life dating, of course. |

| the difference here is that you're killing virtual objects in GTA and games like Doom but on dating sims you're dating real life people who are just using a virtual moniker on a game. if you can't see the difference here you really need to strap up for the long road ahead. |

@damnitkyle
It sounds so wrong when phrased that way, but I guess it's essentially someone asserting their control when they neutralize threads in a videogame. |

"Yes, if your opinion is blatantly contradictory and fallacious, you're a moron. Simple as that."

"Millions of Americans play video games and slaughter and kill people, and this is seen as normal, and some even see it as "cool"." -- Your point being? Comparing CoD to The Sims is ridiculous for several reasons. 1) Different target audiences. 2) Different genres. 3) Different demographics.
"So, it's okay to hate and destroy virtual people, but it's absurd to love and care for virtual people?" -- I don't think anybody really -hates- the virtual people, nor do I think anybody really loves the virtual people. Developing that kind of attachment to an inanimate object is abnormal for anybody over the age of seven.
"If you think this, you're just a moron." -- "This internet ain't big enough fer the two of us."

Now that I think about it, love in general is pathetic. Through a dating sim you fall in love with pixels, but love in real life is just loving atoms... So either way it is pretty stupid.

We are atoms, but a very complex arrangement of them. Of course, this has more value than many other combination of atoms. We are self-aware atoms and I find that really awesome. |

Well the atoms themselves aren't really self-aware. It is the grouping of them and what they do together that make them do what they do.

| That's what I meant. Not that every atom itself was aware, but the group of it was. |

"LOL you really think there's a little real person inside everyone's Nintendo DS controlling the characters? xD
That's some insane conspiracy theory if I've ever heard it before."

they pretty much just devolve into the same thing anyways eventually so what's the point of distinguishing them |
