Background: I am Mexican. I live in Mexico, speak Spanish, blah blah. I am a lucky guy with the chance of studying in the US, since my cousins live in Minnesota and they can help me with the process and stuff. In Mexico, having studied almost anywhere else than Mexico is something that would stand out on ANY curriculum, which would almost guarantee a better life quality for me and future family.
Choose A or B
a) Apply to a us college, go live in the US (either Minnesota with cousins) or somewhere else in a college room. Leave mommy, grandparents, sisters, cousins, friends, and posible FUTURE gf for the time I will be away. If I went up north, I would have the chance to ski the whole winter, which is something I found to be amazing. Amazing food, amazing places, and a completely new culture. Leave my guitar, my XBOX, my lifestyle behind, for this great opportunity I've got. My second cousins are amazing and I would be with them for five years. I would not be completely away from my family.
Current college options: U of Minnesota, University of Pennsilvania (basically that's it lol).
== Then there's option B ==
b) Keep it cool. Study in the BEST university there is in Mexico, same city where I live (no need to move out). Keep my old lifestyle, which I love (playing guitar, hanging out with friends, living and hanging out with MY FAMILY :D). Getting a car and a drivers licence at 17 (next year), maybe a nice undergraduate job. If I were to go to the US I would not have a car nor a driver's licence until age 23 or so. If I stay in Mexico, I could keep hitting on this girl I (think) I love and possibly study together in the same university, be happy for the next 6 years with her or so, but knowing I wasted this incredible one-in-a-lifetime opportunity 1 out of 100 students in Mexico have.
So yea, this is pretty much taking 50% of my time right now. I have like 3 months to make a final decision. I need your opinions! |

Your old lifestyle can easily be a part of your new lifestyle. I'd go with choice A tbh, America is the land of opportunity. |

I'd go with option A.
I've been known by many names, but this is the most fitting. R$1,579 , RAP: 347,998 |

Coming to the US is a very good opportunity, and odds are you'll find a new girl and fall in love with her here, so yah.

@GPR
Most of my dilemma is on the girl I like. I think I've never loved someone as much as her before.
The problem is she has a BF.
>>I would be terrified if I wasted this opportunity for a girl that would end up dumping me in a year (IF we ever got to be toghether)<<
Wanna know something else? I think she's into me. She just can't decide between her current BF and me.
