4GB of the 8GB I have is in use within 15 minutes of Startup and after about 8-9 Hours of being on it freezes completely due to what I assume being a lack of RAM to keep everything running.
Any ideas? Or should I just get more RAM? |

If you have 4GB, then yes, you'll have problems. Just take out the RAM and reinsert them.
that happened to me, and it fixed the problem. |

Nah, use CCleaner and get Malwarebytes, the OS and programs should use 2 GB max.

| 8GB is usable, but it quickly creeps up to 4GB in use within minutes even when only running Task Manager. |

Avast is decent, but I personally use Malwarebytes and Windows Defender and that gets the job done, and monthly runs of CCleaner and my PC runs as if its new.

Windows Defender is the worst thing to use.

Windows Defender doesn't use much resources and it works wonders for me.
