I am trying to lip sync for an animation, but I cannot seem to draw with a mouse, and I don't want to use others' work. Should I get a drawing tablet for this (the one I see specifically is 60 USD)?

If you have the money go for it, but make sure it comes with a stylus

| if you're getting a graphics tablet, get a wacom. they cost a little bit more but they're worth it. Also, yes, drawing with a mouse is not reliable. No professionals draw with mouse. |

They're hard to get used to, but when you learn how, they're great. IMO, I prefer the Wii U Gamepad + Art Academy. Probably wouldn't help with what you're doing here, though. |

I found a Wacom tablet that is within my price range and seems good based on wires and size and pen

Yes, I own a Bamboo Capture just for amateur drawing on my computer but I do enjoy the quality. If you plan on animation, I'd choose a big surface area for animating and some programmable keys for short cuts.

@royaltoe I do 3D animating, what I need this for is for writing and lip-syncing.

So you actually build the model, armature and and animate it? If yes, I don't think you really need a drawing tablet for that.

I mean lip-sycning, I have to draw the textures for the mouth, there isn't a dynamic mouth rig.

| Then buy a cheaper tablet if that's all you're going to use it for. |
