"but then genetics come in; You're not gonna be tall if you're to son of short parents, unless of course their grandparents were tall. "
"Yep, but that's what exercise is for...having an excess of fat can cause the jiggly fun-bags that the other guy mentioned"
I thought I implied that I knew this.
""But let's get back to the point. You need to eat well and exercise well, aswell as sleep well to grow"
Now you're just claiming that sleep and exercise are necessary again without any backup data.
"but then genetics come in; You're not gonna be tall if you're to son of short parents, unless of course their grandparents were tall. "
Yeah and even if you have the right genes you're not gonna have sufficient energy for growth -- whether your energy is stored long-term or not.
This comment is somewhat off topic. |

@Mantine I have a question for you?
If you're really that curious to know, what are you doing grilling people on OT? Google, Wikipedia, take a class - those are way better options than asking a bunch of forum scrubs. |

I was a bit chubby before I had a massive growth spurt. I want from like 5 foot to 6 foot in maybe 2 years.
But I'm not sure if being fat has anything to do with it. |

Okay okay, I'm confused now lemme rebuild myself.
This is what I meant before I started trying to be a smartass: You need energy to give to the cells so they can reproduce faster so you can grow, however, you need various kinds of nutrients for that to work. Now for sleep, I just did some research in the internet and found that growth when sleeping is caused by a growth hormone. Exercise is for developing, but for that you need energy, energy can come in Carbohydrates, fats, potassium and vitamin E, every single one of them with their respective use. |

That's fair. What I'm peeved about is that you're not limited to the same rules. Refutations aren't answers: just because an argument isn't convincing doesn't mean you should be able to dismiss it with an idle hand-wave, and spew more BS. |
