If there is a greatest common factor, find it and put it outside of the equation find all the factors of the last number in the trinomial and see if there is anything that can equal the second number in the trinomial of yes, and the first number is something such as x^2, write [x + #][x+#] hard to explain mang just google it |

OK SO (-15 + 17v + 4v2) is out of order (4v2 + 17v - 15) is how it should go since the more v's goes first
multiply the first monomial by the third to get -60
now what two numbers multiplied gets -60 and added gets 17?
that would be 20 and -3 so 4v2 + 20v -3v - 15
paretheses, so (4v2 + 20v)(-3v - 15)
find the gcf of both, so 4v(v + 5)-3(v + 5)
since they are both v + 5, the answer is 4v - 3(v + 5) |
